Hyper Rails PC simulator to ship in August

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Hyper Rails, the new PC coaster simulator, is set to ship August 15. The publisher has posted new screenshots of the editor as well as photos of the retail box.

See more at the official Hyper Rails site.

Wow. I'm suprised it is being sold in stores instead of online like No Limits is. Looks great!

"I dunno about anyone else, but I'm already bored of No Limits and rarely play it anymore, no one rarely talks about the game either.."

You' re just not looking in the right place. Come on over to www.coastersims.com we have over 2000 extremely active members building and sharing NL coasters. Our community is very well managed and growing daily. :)

If it lives up to it's name, then it will be a great game. If it doesn't, then too it's name is appropriate - "hype-our rails!"

On a quick glance I could not find the computer specifications. If anyone DEFINATELY knows then please chime in.

Not All Coasters are Created Equally

I think I agree with PaulD on this one.

It looks like a pure coaster sim (build it, watch it run, that's it, nothing else). I'd grow bored with that pretty quickly.

It doesn't look to be a real *game* like RCT. Heck, I'm *still* playing RCT scenereos, and I've had the game for years.

RCT2 is a must-buy/will-buy-the-moment-it-comes-out.

This other software, well, I'll wait until I see a review, and I might pick it up if it gets great reviews and doesn't cost too much.

The screen shots sure are pretty though. I'm just concerned about "game play" and "replayability", both of which RCT has in spades.

I agree with PaulD and Spryboy, thats the main thing that has kept me interested in RCT is that its more than just coasters, you get to build a theme park. Building just coasters would get old really fast. Unless the reviews are just awesome and I want to spend the money I wont be getting it
Everyone asking for requirements, I e-mailed them a few months ago, and they said it would *probably* be around 550mhz w/ a ok-pretty good graphics card. I don't remember specifially, but it was something like that and it was a few months ago. I'll e-mail them again I guess.

The game looks good, but Im going to wait for reviews ;)
