Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Hyper Rails, the new PC coaster simulator, is set to ship August 15. The publisher has posted new screenshots of the editor as well as photos of the retail box.

See more at the official Hyper Rails site.

Has anyone else noticed theres a loop on that impulse on the front cover?:)

It looks like they will be putting out extra track designs as add-ons, as when you look in the editor, there are a lot of spaces for new track types, that that impulse with the loop, heck yeah!

While visually the editor is nicer than NL, the only thing I care about in editing is user friendliness. I find NL editor sufficient, but hard to use (to make smooth trasitions). It's really hard to tell whether HR is better or worse.

"This is 100x better than RCT !!! I want it so bad, but then I don't want august to get here to soon."

LOL

Too close to the time school starts, huh? I don't blame ya' kiddo. But think of the fun you'll have after school!

I think the game looks really nice. I will probably buy it.

One word... Damn!

Compared to NL I think HR will probably appeal to the less technically savvy coaster designer. NL will continue to have an advantage thanks to its 3DS import feature and up coming wooden coaster type. I don't know how well this is going to do in the market, but I'll be daft to pass it up. I do have every intention of buying this game. :)

I wonder if it will gave Intamin Giga coasters!

Are you going to be able to open the park and let poeple come in or is it just a simulator

Just the raw coaster simulator. But you can have multiple coasters per park. Question is can you race? I haven't seen anything that suggests that.

The game does look good but until I get a review that is better then ultimate ride(pc), this coaster game for dreamcast and 3d coaster designer then I will be happy and buy it.

In other words, when it comes out tell me if it is good or bad

I downloaded th demo and it looks sooo realistic. The lift hill and all look real.

Where do you download this demo?

I love the night rides, and I did not notice that the impulse on the cover had a loop until it was pointed out. Looks Great!!!

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

looks good, i just hope the trains handle the track well like No Limits.

Will it be better than No Limits or Scream Machines? Scream Machines is going to be REALLY cool. Check out the site if you haven't yet.... www.screammachinesgame.com

This is 100x better than RCT !!! I want it so bad, but then I don't want august to get here to soon.

I'm sorry, but I find it hilarious how you think its going to be better than RCT because it clearly wont be, dont forget they are 2 complety different games, RCT is more focused on designing and building theme parks, while this game just concentrates on building and designing RollerCoasters ONLY, so if you think its going to be better than RCT, you're going to be very disapointed, personally I know what game I would rather play between the two and that would be RCT by a long way.

I agree its look a superb game(It might be better than No Limits by the looks of it) , the graphics looks amazing, and it will be great to build a 4D Coaster as well as Impulses etc, but I'm wondering how long we will all be playing it when we get it. I dunno about anyone else, but I'm already bored of No Limits and rarely play it anymore, no one rarely talks about the game either, and personally I just think the same thing is going to happen if I decide to buy this.

Also RCT 2 comes out about 2 months after this game, and personally I would much rather wait for that.

Mr. Freeze, that link is for a demo of Ultra Coaster, not Hyper Rails.

wow, screenshots look great..especially the 4d ones!

system requirements will most likely be pretty high. im guessing around 700 Mhz, w/a good video card.

luckily i wont have to worry, just got a new computer fully loaded :)
