Hyper Rails or CoasterGen

I was just wondering which game you would choose if you could only pick one. If you don't know anything about the two here are the sites, Hyper Rails and CoasterGen

I'm more interested in Hyper Rails, because the developers, or someone who knows them, hasn't spammed any sites I goto. I refuse to buy anything from spammers.

Im also more intrested in Hyper Rails.

A) It's going to be sold in stores

B) On the website they show screenshots of the editor and ones that are not just from 3D Studio Max.

I think what most people are missing is the fact that Coaster Gen may *LOOK* great but thoose "screenshots" (obviously used loosely) are simply straight from 3D Studio Max. It's just like if Badnitrus decided to make there own game and tryed to pass off all the pictures on there website as "screenshots" from the actually game. Truely not a good representation of the actual game.

With the graphics and the high tech coastergen will have it may be amasing but only a few comps on the market will be able to actually run this program. The program is getting nowhere and at this rate it won't be complete before other big companies create better programs. To me it looks like some wacky teenager came up with the idea to create this in his spare time. May look cool but not worth it's weight in gold.

If I could only choose one of the two then it would most certainly be hyper rails.

Hyper rails has got B&M stand up, intamin LIM inverted, Gio hyper and arrow 4-D,heck the 4-D practically sells this game in my opinion.

Coaster Gen looks too suspicious to me. I mean come on, they are showing little sections of coasters then taking screen shots and stuff. I seriously think it's just a big gimme of them trying to get attention or something, but i highly doubt those screen shots are from their game. Hyper rails looks awesome. i'd been following it from day 1, and every month, i have seen segnificant improvement, and then last month, they realeased official pics of their box and publishing material. This is a guarenteed program that looks awesome! Plus I'm sure more to come!

so far, im goin with hyper rails.

coaster gen just looks to fake. if you payed attention to the system requirements:

...only 64MB of ram, but can take the graphics of nolimits, add people, stores, and other rides, yet still operate with 64MB of ram?? I DONT THINK SO!! my comp has 320MB of ram, and can still run at a low FPS on nolimits when there is enough that needs to be displayed.

like most have said....looks like 3D stuido max to me...

im goin with hyper rails...ill get coaster gen if the reviews are good.

ill get coaster gen even ever comes out! I mean seriously, do u think it will live up to the cheapness and fonyness that it remains right now. You are guarenteed with hyper rails. I'm curious to see how far they get in this in the next months and can't wait to here when they get a publisher, cause that's when ill take back the negativity to the program.

Hyperrails is the Better-graphiced UC3D. The editor is the same. And the editor is crap! Its just horrible. Benzier is deffently the way to go! if Hyperrails used No Limit's editor, i'de buy it. UC3D was first of a kind. People werent completely interested if there was a bump where a node was. But now, with no limits, people care. I can tell ya that there will be few people here able to make a smooth coaster, if the editor is liek UC3D. Ride_Op might be able too, but i know i wont. benziers allow unlimited freedom. As for CoasterGen, if it comes out, awesome, i'll buy it ( as long as it isnt like UC3D's editor [ i know, i;m picky]). If it doesnt, oh well... i wont buy it.

What makes the coaster building aspect of these games any different than No Limits? I know that you can build more than one coaster in the parks and stuff but I don't really see the point in getting Hyper Rails if you have No Limits. Can someone explain?

DLDude13: Wow, you sure don't know anything about Hyperrails. And I think the word you mean to use is Bezier curve, which, since you don't know how to spell it I'm guessing you don't even know what one is.

Look again, read a little even, you'll find that HR does everything NoLimits did only better. And the fact is you don't even know the half of what it's really capable of.

As for CoasterGen, mark my words, it'll never be anything more than vaporware. Any kids can render some nice Max screens, but that doesn't mean it will translate into working code.
