Nice to see a whole new layout with cool inversions, even if some of them have the strangest names out there.

Right? I still trying to figure out what the hell a corkscrew is! Who comes up with this crap!? ;)

And just in case you missed it the first time - ;)

Gonch - a cork is what is used to cap a wine bottle. A screw...well that one I have to explain to you in person ;)

And I will show you the famous 'jojo roll' live and in person.

It's more of a technique than a maneuver.

Ok, this thing looks amazing, but we're not counting that first overbanked turn as an inversion are we?

Man am I glad I'm sitting at a desk right now ;)
The Cobra roll is also interesting. I had to take a class to learn it, but the response so far has been completely possitive.

Down is the new up.
Well, instead of opening a new thread, I thought I'd post this here...

The trains for Hydra have arrived at Dorney and I'm guessing they'll be on the tracks soon, if they aren't on the tracks already. Take a look and see for yourself...

Assuming on how far along the station is, we could see test runs within the month making the ride ready early for opening day. With the ride being so near completion so early, might we see some nice time spent on themeing, landscaping, and the station? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

No one has posted this yet, so I might as well post it:

The comment about what Dorney Park blurred on the picture? It's a Union banner - go to dorneyonline, and look at the most recent Hydra pictures. You'll notice that they have the same exact picture, except it's not blurred.

Also, having been at the park to witness the lift hill being topped off, they did in fact have an American flag attached to that piece of track as well.

edit: Also, did anyone else besides me notice that on the one picture of the trains (not the one on the truck) the train on the left has smiley faces on 2 of the water bottles? :) *** Edited 12/13/2004 2:02:52 AM UTC by dannerman***

Um, I'd be pretty suprised to see Hydra test run any time before like, March. The station has quite a ways to go, and electrical work still has to be done. By the time all of that is done, it's just going to be too cold to run the ride. I know for a fact that Talon cannot run when the temperature is below 40 degrees (risk of valleying), and I'd expect Hydra would be similar. But yes, Hydra should be ready with plenty of time to spare before opening day.

I personally could care less when they start testing it unless they're going to put me on it when they do! :)

As long as it's open on time and operating properly, it really doesn't matter when they start testing.
