How much spin on Ragin' Cajun

Yes, that's a given. The whether on a flat ride or a coaster, the spin is affected by the dispersion of weight, not if you press your back against the seat....sigh....

try it next time you ride a spinning coaster or a tilt-a-whirl you will see what i mean, end of discussion
It has to do with the weight, because a 5 year old kid sitting in the car all by himself, is not gonna get the same amount of spin as a 250 lb. man sitting in the car by himself.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

How are you going to end a discussion with you being completely wrong? Pushing your back against the seat just gets you as far back as you can, thus feeling it more because your body is going in the largest circle possible. Have you ever seen a tilt-a-whirl in action with empty cars? It still spins.

Also, if they made an extended tilt-a-whirl ride that followed the path of a mouse coaster rather than a circle, it would still do the same thing.

Ya don't say, onceler? :)

<AHEM!>

He said "end of discussion." What part of that didn't you two understand?

No no, you both have it wrong. If your name begins with a vowel and your birthday is in fall on Tues. or if your name begins with S on Thursdays unless it's raining you'll get more spin. Unless, of course, the parks name has 3 syllables and you had pancakes for breakfast.

I think that the spinning on Ragin Cajun is controled, and that there are a few different types of spins that the cars can do. The spinning part is probably controled because the rest of the ride is.
How many times does it need to be repeated for you people?

Mamoosh said:
It's the the number/size/weight of the riders. The spinning is NOT predetermined...it's completely random.

The spinning is not controlled!

However, they have started up the brake just before the first turn on the second half of the ride where you spin.

Put two 240 lbs. men on one side and two 100 lbs. women or kids on the other side of the train and you get the best spinning action.

It does seem to me that the more imbalanced a train is, the better it will spin...

And I'll say it since no one has said it before; if you have larger riders on the outside and smaller ones on the inside, the cars will spin more ;)

I dont think it matters what you do. I have been on Exterminator many times, with many different types and sizes of people, as well as two on one side, and none on the other. No one time was extremely different than the other. They are all pretty wild.

It would be cool to hear what the designers have to say though.

The designers would probably tell you that it is nothing like a tilt-a-whirl and that the spinning is controlled. They would then say "End of discussion" and walk away.

But when I was there one time it broke down. One car was in the station, another one was stuck on the chain lift and another one was stuck at the spinning part.
ehh?
