PointMan....let's see, that would've been the Wednesday after SRM, before CoasterMania....did IB Sunday, SFGAm Minday, paddled like ducks all day Tuesday to MiA, and that Wednesday we pulled into the parking lot FILLED with school buses....I may be a *complainer* here, but I rarely go to GR to do so.
On this day, I would've LOVED to have gotten some additional rides on Timbers (which really did perform later in the day) and on that cool mouse....and on the Zoomer....but alas, with one train on each coaster, long lines abounded. Exacerbated by the 10-4 operating day, we worked hard to get as many rides as possible, but it was not to be....I actually DID go to GR to ask about the second train around 1:30 I guess, but to no avail....(little surprise there, but I did feel the need to ask). If they had had two trains and the waits were that long, I would've gladly endured....but to single-train on a day THAT busy, on a ride of THAT length...seemed a *tad* ridiculous. The ops spent more time telling kids to get off the railings than loading/unloading trains....a problem that IMO goes away *like magic* if you keep the lines moving....capacity on the ride must been less than 700 pph.....and I just *hate* seeing ops standing around waiting for a train to finish the course - esp. one that long, esp. when it's obviously your "signature" ride....
and the way the coaster seemed to *warm up*, with 20-minute waits, I can only imagine what kinda of rides we'd have been getting by the 15th spin or so....as it was, I got four spins, Jill only three, and we were there open-close....

I always thought the less coaster the less popular the park with the less lines, becuase that was the case with Dorneypark before dominator and talon etc ,but then I thought about parks like Kennywood, and Bushgardens williamsburg with like 4 or 5 coaster, and im sure they get long waits for some of there coasters. However if there a varation of activaties to keep park guest busy, from coasters to shows, the lines for major atractions should never be over a certan amount of time per season.
