How many of you?

/\Glad to hear that, those are pretty much the exact specs I'm getting when I order my XPS here soon. Now to decide on the snap on cover...
FYI: You don't need FRAPS to find out your FPS as long as you have the first patch. Just click on a peep and rename them to "FPS".

How many of you can actually run the game smoothly

Roller Coaster Tycoon ran perfectly smoothly on the old 400MHz machine I used to have access to. Or do you mean some other game? :)

I've had no problems with mine running at all. I've also got the cheat guy so I know all kinds of secrets too!! :>)

Make sure that you have all backround programs shut down when running the game to free up memory and processor time. *** Edited 1/12/2005 12:06:09 AM UTC by Crashmando***

Thanks,

I have a Dell XPS Laptop and it freezes quite often. It actually doesn't freeze... it errors out.
One bad thing about laptops, they are hard to fix, upgrade, and maintain, I wouldn't think the Dell XPS laptop would have such issues as those.
Just to give yall something to consider, my locally built 2.8 Ghz with a 128 ATI card hasn't given me any problems what so ever.
Same for me Neuski, with my AMD 2100+ with my brand new BFG 6800 256MB OC video card... :)

same here (works): AMD Sempron 2800 2.0Ghz, ATI RADEON 7000, 768 MB DDR RAM, ASUS A7V8X-X Motherboard. Oh, and custom built! sweeeeet! *** Edited 1/17/2005 2:05:28 PM UTC by DC2Beltz3***
My laptop, by all means not the top of the line, but still only 6 months old, can handle it easily. The ATI graphics card, which I hear are really good (I don't know the difference between cards) probably helps... the game runs quite smooth.
