How long did it take?

I'm just curious...I remember when CoasterBuzz first started off, I was (and still am) a member a Guide to the Point, possibly the best unofficial site on any park, and Jeff posted the link to the new CoasterBuzz site. I sort of remember the name was different at first, but then changed due to someone else using it. What was it? I forgot..

Now, on to my main question - how long did it take to create CoasterBuzz? How did you ever compile those large lists of coasters and parks? I know they all weren't there at first, but it had to be a pretty nice sized list already. And yes, I know, CoasterBuzz is like half contributed by your members, but still, how long did it take? :)

CoasterBuzz took about a month and a half of free time to build originally. The makeover took about a week.

We opened with only a couple hundred coasters, compiled mostly from official sites. The rest came from members who had to have those rides on their track records.
