How is TTD operating now?

Was considering "getting to the point" this weekend or next, and I haven't heard much about dragster lately. Is it any more reliable than in june or july? Seems like it's operating everyday (according to website). Any info would be appreciated 'cause it's a 6 hour drive for me!

It's been pretty consistent these days. Make the Race to the Sky.

You'll most likely get on it. It does open almost every day but sometimes with delays.

Dragster has been running extremely consistant these past couple of weeks. It has been open just about everyday and the breakdowns are becoming fewer in number. However, do keep in mind that minor breakdowns are possible throughout the day but most do not last much longer than 15-20 minutes. You'll most likely get on it and enjoy all 17 seconds of it!

Keep your head back, arms down, and hold on...

I was there last Sunday and it was running like a typical CP coaster, line plaqured said 1 1/2 hour we were on in about 55 min, I never saw it it miss a beat all day. Mine Ride on the other hand had a 15 minute wait. I rode all 14 adult coasters. And hit Gemini and Dragster twice. I would sugest visiting Sunday.
Oh I even had time to see Snoopy On Ice, I suggest all those males who like a women with musuclar legs sit in the AC and watch it you wont be disappointed.
I also was there Sunday, and only had to wait 35 minutes! :)

If idiots could fly, this place would be a friggin' airport.

Since when has TTD been going on an "all-day, everyday" run? I was there 4th of July weekend after they opened it back up and know it was pretty steady from the 5th-8th(Great timing, huh?:)).

It been running fairly steady as time goes on. But if your heading out that way check the weather, this one doesn't run in high winds or rain.
It was running decent on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Monday morning it broke down for a little over an hour which made my total wait time 2 1/2 hours. I went back later that afternoon and only waited 50 mins. Tuesday, it was operating off and on all day...sprinkly weather. That night I got to see it roll back twice in a row...pretty funny watching all the cheering in the station. Gave me goosebumps! It's the most intense thing you will ever ride in your life so don't worry about the line. Just get in it and get ready! You will love it!

There was a 2.5 hour line yesterday. There were some pauses here and there, but it seemed to be operating consistantly. I think it may have either opened late (around 10:45) or there might have been some delays soon after opening.

jason-wow, I thought I saw it go up a few times that day(I was over on Pawley's Island), oh well.

Watching a TTD rollback was the funniest coaster related thing I've ever seen. It was hilarious. When they tried again, it made it over and the crowd(it was some 20 minutes after the park closed) went nuts. I'd like to be on it when it goes through a rollback just to see what it would feel like.

Someone on here wrote a trip report about his rollback experience.

I was there last Monday, got there around 5pm, got in line for TTD around 7:50pm, park closed at 8pm, the ride was broken down when we got there but they still let us wait, finally got in the que around 8:05pm. There was another breakdown, but got on last ride from station #1 about 9pm. I heard people saying that in the morning it was a 3hr wait (due to a 1.5 hr breakdown).

Yeah Onceler I was in that line ^ when it broke down.

It ran very well this past Thursday. After the delay at opening (almost an hour during which time we watched almost constant rollbacks), we were on in 20 minutes. I noticed one other period of downtime during the afternoon but it couldn't have been much more than 30 minutes?

Most of the major problems with design have been identified at this point and some sort of fix has been installed. What you will find now is a few minor break downs throughout the day that are more along the lines of your typical coaster (block violations, bad sensors, etc.)

Believe me, a lot of work has been performed on the ride and its launch system since the end of July and the payoff of it all is now showing in the ride's consistent uptime.

From what I've heard from about 5 different pass holders. It sometimes opens late, and is up an hour than down another hour.(Repeat process all day)

I'm glad the ride is running much better than it was back in June. I was kinda frustrated I only got to ride it once on that fateful Wednesday before Coastermainia when the problems began. However I was glad I got to actually ride it and my trip planing to CP this year worked out perfectly. I had 3 awesome days there. With Wednesday being the best one with walks ons all over the park, I got to ride the Raptor 9 times within an hour. Only if I can came back before the year is over.

I was also there during this time...not a peep was heard from dragster on the 8th from what we saw...we got our ride after closing on the 7th. Hard to believe it's been almost 2 months ago already. Can still see the ground rushing up as we came back down.

Where has the summer gone?.....
