I don't think an e-mail OR a nasty letter is in order.
Just in case you're wondering...When I come across a post that involves HW, I always print it out and route it to the Kochs and our staff of directors. So for something like this, there's no need to send a separate letter or email (unless you'd like to).
Please know that we don't get offended by suggestions. We want to know what people think we need to add next. We do lots of in-park surveys with guests, plus take into consideration all the Comments Cards, emails, letters, posts and phone calls.
But, as has been brought up by a few in this thread...we also need to look at marketability. And where in the park is there more capacity needed? This year, hands down, the answer was Splashin' Safari.
We certainly know there are a few holes that need to be filled in our line-up of rides. Stay tuned...we won't disappoint!
Happy New Year! Paula

SFDL NEEDS A GOOD EXPANSION!!!!!!!
1. Sally dark ride in the Halloween section...right on that large grassy knoll between Raven & Legend.
2. Master Blaster water slide in the waterpark.
3. Spinning mouse in the Christmas section. Cars can be themed to Santa's sleighs, supports can be candy cane striped.
4. Some classic flat rides, including a carousel, ferris wheel, whip, and a Music Express. I'd also love to see a ride like Kennywood's Kangaroo...the manufacturer calls it a "flying coaster" but I thought I'd confuse people with that term.
5. CCI dogleg out-and-back, station in the 4th of July section.
The problem with dark rides is the vandalism. No matter how nice you make your rides, someone always comes along and messes with it. Thats why Knoebles has a seperate admission for it
Well, if I could tackle my Holiday Wish List, I would include the Carousel and Giant Wheel in my plans. The Carousel would be Christmas themed and the Wheel would be Fourth of July themed and include a Fireworks-like animation for its light package. Both rides would be built by Chance Rides of Kansas.
I would go for an Arrow Mad Mouse as a family steel coaster, since typically, domestic rides are more inexpensive.
In the flat rides dept., I would add a Chance Yo Yo, Wisdom Tornado, and a Dartron Cliffhanger (a lay-down Paratrooper)

The only problems with rides like the Whip and Flying Coaster, is that they are no longer made.
I'm sure that with the right amount of money those rides could be produced again.
As for the Flying Coaster I was under the impression that Larkin made a version? I seem to recall a thread on the coaster news group about that not too long ago.
Anyway knowing Holiday World I'm sure they'll continue to impress us year after year.
I agree that Hershey's Whip is the worst whip I have ridden. Moxahala has a Whip that is still standing. Maybe this could be refurbished. It has been kept under a roof all of these years. I definately want a Carousel and a Ferris Wheel. I would also like to see a CCI wooden Wild Mouse coaster at the park someday. I am sure CCI could build a Wild Mouse out of wood.

A CCI wooden Mouse sounds awesome. Maybe that isn't too big of a jump from the Superstition Mountain project.
