Honk Kong Disneyland

Who's going to Hong Knog Disneyland? If anyone is going, be sure to send back fantastic pictures!
I doubt anyone here is going.

The park is already being heavily criticized for having too few attractions. There are two big ones: Space Mt. and Jungle Cruise, a few smaller fantasyland style ones, and a few shows. By all reports it's a 1/3-1/2 day park right now. Too bad!

But..I'd still go if given the chance...I love DIsney parks as much as coasters.

..but it's going to have AWESOME gardens. That's just as good as an E-ticket attraction to the Chinese.

So Disney says, anyway.

Riiiight.

FYI, Screamscape has a ton of photos.
HONK KONG!

...and then Hong Knog.

It's not that hard to spell ;)

laughingplace.com has tons of photos too.

I'm sure it does!
I'm going next Saturday. Will post photos.

Thanks!
Dang, Richard, Japan to China in one trip? U Suck!;)
RIchard...that's awesome! I'm jealous. And here I thought it would be HIGHLY unlikely that anyone on the site would be going!

I think Jungle Cruise isn't really a big ride. Space Mountain is a big ride.
THis is a vastly expanded and high-tech version of the Jungle Cruise, supposedly.

Well - I live in Ireland, and I was flying Cathay Pacific to Japan, and guess where my flight connected? :)

I decided I might as well stay one night on my way home...!

You still suck! ;)

But take loads of pictures, and tell us all how great a time you had when you get back.

Okay folks, the trip report is here -

Hope it's of interest.

Richard: I hope you don't mind...I posted a link to your TR at www.micechat.com They've been anxiously awaiting a TR!

Interesting TR, Richard. Thanks for putting it together. The guest behavior you mentioned is similar to every story anyone has ever told me after a visit to HK, so I'm not that surprised. It will be interesting to see how HKDL handles it. Most Disney parks bend over backwards not to inconvenience guests, even those clearly breaking the rules.

HKDL'S Festival of the Lion King may well be a close cousin to the show by the same name in Florida's Animal Kingdom. If so, it is truly excellent.

Not at all - the more the merrier.

Jungle Cruise is a big attraction when it's one of the ONLY attractions. I guess Eisner felt the people of Hong Kong would be so happy to get their own Disney park, they wouldn't even care that the park only has a few major rides!
