Homepark Listing

Why not have a homepark listing in the member info area. Sure everyone knows Kennywood is in Pittsburg, Cedar Ponit in Sandusky, and Busch Gardens in Tampa and Williamsburg. What about the smaller towns? It could be useful if people don't want to list their info like city and state. The homepark would give a better location idea for others as well and not be to exact of an area.

I concur. /s/ Merri Sedai -- about to be "Belmont (something or other)"
But how you define "home park" can be confusing. Is your "home park" the park that is closest to you, or is it the one you visit most often?

I live 10 minutes from Kennywood, yet my visits to Cedar Point far out-number my visits to Kennywood.

I would define "hometown park" as your favorite park. The one you enjoy visiting the most.

I'd define it as the nearest to you since home is where you live. If it's a problem have an area to list favorite park too. I just figured with a homepark listing people wouldn't have to put their city and other people would know the basic area. Example Hersheypark could mean, Hershey, Harrisburg, and Lebanon area. How about we call it, "Closest park to your house park" then. ;)

How about whatever you consider your home park? When I lived in West Virginia, I was closest to Camden Park, but moreoften visited PKI and really considered PKI my home park.

If it helps, I'm not going to add any kind of function to designate your home park. If you feel strongly about it, put it in the profile field for location.

I don't blame you for not wanting make Camden you homepark Belmont Babe. I was there this year it's a struggling park. I like the 5 cent pay toilets and the flume that tours the tall weeds. I must admit the whip is probably one of the best I've ridden. Even beatting Knoebels.

Well, if you want to get technical than Santas Village is my hometown park (only 4 miles away) but there is no way I am going to claim that. I am content with SFGAm which is 35 miles away.
