Gosh, not a single complaint (yet) that the event is scheduled on top of the opening of "Shrek the Third."

What a relief.

Any word from BB if they'll be doing Rumblefest II this weekend also? That was such a fun combo last year. Hey how about some shuttles and a combo price for both events? ;)

It's okay, Paula, as long as you didn't schedule it during the opening weekend of "Transformers"
Got my room at Santa's Lodge. And gosh darn it, this year I'm actually going to go.

I booked my room the day after Holiwood Nights 2006.

Can't wait!!!!!!!

That's ok, Paula. I am a HUGE Shrek fan but he can wait a few days. ;)

I look forward to seeing you (and everyone else) again!

Too bad this is the same weekend as Coaster Mayhem. I hate it when events get scheduled on the same weekend in the same area, it makes us have to choose. Thank goodness Coaster Con is at HW later this year as it makes the decision to not go to HWN easier.

Damn straight! Or Spider-Man 3, or Fantastic Four 2. :)

I've also got my Santa's Lodge reservations all set, although I'm not 100% sure I'll be there yet (work scheduling and whatnot) *** Edited 1/13/2007 1:44:16 AM UTC by GregLeg***

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

I'm guessing the event got pushed back because of the Coaster Con in early June? It may have been because of Memorial Day weekend too though.

When Legend opened, they pushed the event back to early May because of both the coaster con and I guess they wanted us there opening weekend for it.

Sorry I'm out this year! :(

On Odd-Numbered years I go with my Church on a Mission Trip to Brazil (If there is a BIGGER Thrill ride on this Planet than the Amazon River I'd like to know about it! :) )

Hopefully I'll see you all in 2008! *** Edited 1/13/2007 4:15:08 AM UTC by Borntocoast***

I won't make it for Holiwood nights but I will definitely be there for CoasterCon in June.
^That's how I am too. I have ties to WoF and they are having Coaster Mayhem that same weekend.
I really wish it was Memorial Day weekend again, but to boot I already have the time off requested from work. :) Come on BB...announce RF II.

Doh! I guess I won't be going to WoF that weekend. And watch, they'll probably run the coasters trimless this time. ;)

What is strange is that HWN was announced several weeks ahead of the announcement of the WoF event. You would think event organizers would check the events page at ACEonline to avoid schedule conflicts. *** Edited 1/13/2007 3:40:17 PM UTC by Marko***

This could be really bad for the WoF event. I'm guessing HWN is going to take a chunk out of Coaster Mayhem's attendance. Last year's attendance was something like 80 people I think. If the event doesn't grow, the park may discontinue it like what happened to the Howling event they used to have in the fall every year.

Let's see....a four hour drive to WoF or an eight hour drive to HW? Sorry, HW still wins.

Coaster Mayhem was fun last year since there weren't huge numbers there but I'm still leaning toward HW at this point.

"Heavily medicated for your safety!"

Uhhh Holiday World Doesn’t set the date, god does ;). The event is always placed on the weekend closest to the new moon (last years moon).
Voyage...Pitch Black... :)

Paula et. al. know what they're doing when they set the date! :)

Wrong, the date for the 2007 Mayhem was announced at the lunch of the 2006 Mayhem. It will be the same weekend every year.

I understand the lunar phases, just think it would beneficial and "good neighbor policy" if they would stick to the same weekend every year.

Also AV, Howling was only held for one season.
