Holiday World signs contract with...

...The Gravity Group!

I'm thrilled to pass along that Holiday World has just signed a contract with The Gravity Group for some consulting work on our existing coasters.

Will Koch told us at staff meeting this morning that we're the GG's first official clients. And we sincerely hope we're the first of many. :0)

Just wanted to pass along the good news.

Thanks, Paula
P.S. The new SRM flyer should be online later today: www.holidayworld.com/srm

Outstanding. Good to see those guys get some work, and I hope they're able to score some great conversations at the show next week!

Great news...glad to see that the minds behind Raven and Legend are finally getting paid again :)

Looking forward to seeing that new flyer, and bringing everyone I can fit into our Santa Fe and Freelander to Santa Claus, IN next year.

Thanks for the great news, Paula. So...it's just consulting work?

Moosh - well...someone had to ask!

What are they gonna do... come to the park and say "Yep, these are the two best maintained CCI's..." and then leave?

There is not much they can do to improve on perfection, is there?

For now 'Moosh, it seems so...(Paula?)

Idea time: Let's get HW another 20% in '03, then Will might have to bring them back to "consult" some more....:)

'Gator - are you having a bad day or should I have put a smiley in my post? I saw Paula's comment...I was just being a smartass.

Moosh - now the official Coasterbuzz C.A.K.E.

Yes, it's strictly consulting at this point.

As SRMers will remember, we have some fine-tuning to do on the Legend's system now that we have a two-train operation.

Yes Moosh, I knew you were being a "smartass", but I also knew Paula would be "watching" her own thread...;). The day is going well, phones are quiet...daydreaming about SRM '03 already, and my first rides on the HallowSwings...:).

Paula, you can "tweak" Legend, but don't change the staff one bit....;)

Bill--

You're not going to start singing some old Billy Joel song, are you? I don't think I could stand that! :)

*chuckle* "At this point" being the part that makes me drool like mad.

Agreed. Can anyone else say "Shivering Timbers clone"?

Sorry, Mike...

The word "clone" isn't in our vocabulary. :)

I was debating wether or not to make the trip to Indiana this coming summer ... this thread (and this quote especially ;) ) just sealed the deal =)

I still have to ride Raven and Legend yet.. haven't been down to Holiday World in years...hmmm..

Glad to hear that we will be seeing more great wooden rollercoasters and rollercoaster parts from these same designers!

To the Raven......!

Will be able to fly like a bird over Gurnee in 03'. But for now..the elevators at my dorm will suffice(WHOO-HOO!!!) ....oh....wait...... :-(

Why even debate? :-)

I just took a chance with my first SRM when I heard people "Raven" about it. Well, what a great descision that was. I love Holiday World, no doubt about it. It's just such a great place.

Honestly, even if I didn't love Legend as much as I do, I would still love that place. I would almost say I would love it the same even if they didn't have my 2 absolute favorite wooden coasters....*ALMOST* ;-)

You must be living in the famous, or infamous, Watterson Towers at Illinois State! In any speedy elevator you can catch some "airtime" by jumping just immediately before it stops...my roommates and I did lots of that in college....
