Holiday World or King's Island?

Say, does anybody know anything about the Louisville area? I need to make hotel reservations today, and I'd like to know which parts of the metro area to prefer or avoid. Any/all advice greatly appreciated.

Speaking of hotels, I need to find one about an hour South of Sandusky coming from I-75. :) Everything I see online looks questionable. ha ha!!
I think the Indiana side of Louisville is the best if you're making a quick stay. It's not "ghetto" at all, there's tons of new development (retail and the like), and the road construction is all done!!

Last summer on my overnight stay between driving from KI to HW I stayed at some hotel in Indiana (I think Jeffersonville) which was right across the river from Louisville, and it was only like $40 for one night (on Saturday night no less), which I booked naming my own price on Priceline.

And while the couch was the most uncomfortable couch I had ever sat on (flat and hard like concrete!!), the bed was new and comfy (got an extra comforter and blanket too with ease!), room was very clean, bathroom and shower were huge, hotel was new, it was right off the exit on 65, it was like the 1st or 2nd exit off 65 after crossing into IN (so it wasn't far) and was by a lot of restuarants (some like Subway were walking distance) and it was near retail too!!

Unfortunately, I'm not at home and can't look through old e-mails to see what hotel it was, but I think it was the Comfort Suites...I WILL be staying there again later this summer on my now annual KI-->HW trip (just skipping on trying to sleep on the couch!)

I'm Not a fan of waterparks and when we went to Holiday on an outing I was bored after about 4 hours of being in the park. We ended up just riding the voyage over and over again.

I'm just curious about what you guys like about The Raven and The Legend. Idon't think they're that great. What do you like about them? *** Edited 7/18/2007 2:52:19 PM UTC by ColtsFan #20***

TOP 5 COASTERS

1.Maverick 2.Millennium Force 3.Magnum 4.Raptor 5.Top Thrill Dragster

I'll say I've done that trip before and it's a good one, HW is a must, Free Drinks and Great park. Now if you have the time you can do all the parks. I started at KI, did everything and drove (about 2 hrs) to SFKK, just hit the coasters and headed to HW for the rest of the day. I had so much fun there I stayed for an extra day at HW.

Raven and Legend have some great airtime, some great lateral moments, some nice large drops, they are in the woods, they are made of wood, they are well maintained, they are particularly great in the dark...what's not to like?
