Holiday World and Splashin' Safari today announced three new attractions for 2007. The first is a 73-foot slide with a bowl feature at the end. A turkey-themed Tilt-a-Whirl will be added to the Thanksgiving section. Plymouth Rock Cafe will serve food from the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pretty awesome. I'll be sure to visit this park again next year. I must say I really like how the slide will sit inside the footprint of the lazy river.
Well, on 10/27/05 on Screamscape, someone had the Tilt-A-Whirl pegged as a 2007 attraction correct. So you can believe some of the stuff posted:)
So, you now can get Thanksgiving turkey, mashed potatoes, and all the trimmings all summer? Yeah!

Who doesn't like a tilt-a-whirl? Especially a turkey themed one?

Are they going to include a nap area near the thanksgiving food stand?

I absolutley love the placement of the slide. I knew they would eventually add something over that river!

Great News on the tilt, but heard it was canceled from this year, so I was expecting it. Notice how the Tilt uses the new tubs Sellner introduced a couple years ago? Much easier to theme... and Lighter, too.
By the way, where is the Tilt going?

I kinda hoped for a Mayflower-themed swinging ship for next year, too, but oh well. Maybe in '08.

We all wondered why they left such an open space in middle of the Bahari River...well now we know why...kudos to Will Koch for his long term vision and direction for Holiday World.
Was I dreaming, or didn't they say last year that they were going to get a turkey-themed tilt-a-whirl? IIRC they were thinking about adding it for '06, but they didn't want to do too much and budget concerns pushed it back to '07.

Either way, I'm looking forward to a couple more laps on Voyage next year, than shooting... errr... calling some turkeys, and then a good ol' Tilt-A-Whirl... and with a free soda station right there to top it all off... hmm.. maybe it's time for me to move to Indiana.. :)

I'm not sure about the Tilt-A-Whirl, but I thought I remember talking to Paula about the restaurant at Holiwood Nights. Because I remember asking the dumb question of what kind of food would they serve. All she said was "We're in Thanksgiving Land, what do you think?" I just had to laugh and slap myself.
It's funny how a Tilt-a-Whirl and a resturaunt that was supposed to open this season make the news just because they're at Holiday World.

100 inner tubes? Isnt this a bit of over kill? Or are the rafts also used for the lazy river? I just dont see how you need this many. Are the slides there that popular? And how do the rafts get up to the top, by carry or conveyance?

michael darling, you got the guts to say what i wanted to say but didnt haha
100 does seem like a lot, especially since it appears it will have a lift.

Now if they will just fill the tubes (on Zinga too) full...

The Tilt is going between Voyage's station and the restaurant.

Although most of us know two of the three attractions were originally announced for this year, it's still news. John is being silly. ;)
The Turkey Whirl is going to go between the Voyage Gifts and the Cafe.

Have Fun

Paul

oh man, i TOTALLY called the bowl slide in the middle of the river in my trip report from weeks back. i want a cookie. ;)

Oh, and on a sidenote, are there any paks w/ a giant bowl 4-person clover bowl like this one? I've never seen a 4 person version like this (actually, i've never been on one at all... buti havn't heard of one)... is this the first of its kind?

EDIT 2:
> well i kind of answered my own question w/ the photo on the webpage :-P - where is that at?
