Hilarious stories at parks

How many of you have hilarious park stories? Something you did, a friend or the GP?

We were in line for Monsoon Falls at SFMW as the boat started approaching the station it stops half way in. Half of the riders get off the boat, but the ride ops yell to stay on. Everyone gets back on but a little boy. He was gonna get back on but they moved the boat foreward and the boy was still standind there while his parents were still in the boat, so he starts shrieking and crying. Finally the passengers get off the boat and the boy runs to his parents. It was funny.

Yeah that must have been HILARIOUS! I could see it now, a little boy crying! Oh my GOD I wish I was there to see that. Would have been my top experience of all time!

That's disturbing that u two think it's funny. What's funny is I went SFGAm with my good buddy Khris(real name) and we were waiting for Batman. It was really REALLY hot and we couldn't get to a vendor. So I took my hand, dipped it in the fountain and flung it at him. He did likewise. Even other people in line joined in! It was the best time in line I ever had!

i love laughing at little kids crying...the best is when you're the one that makes them cry...i thought it was a cool story...
Please tell me you're not stupid enough to not pick up my sarcasm in that post.

I am very sensitive and careing and I laugh at little kids when they cry, but only if it is nothing serious.

Correct dexter. Just because I thought this was funny does not mean that I am insensitive. Kids do funny things everyday and it is part about being a kid. As long as there was no harm done, the kid will be fine.

Funniest thing ever from sffm. My cousin Jose and I were waiting for my friends to get off of Viper, since we took the train before them. As we waited, down the hill comes a group of people, one of them starts sprinting towards a trashcan. This guy was in no shape for this and he tries jumping over it only to smack into it. He lands on top of the trascan and gets up like he didn't try anything. Hilarious since everyone around saw it.

Is it a dream or a memory? It's both, it's X

While entering Cedar Point, I heard these teen kids talking:

"Yeah, and you know, that big green one...what is it...the Mantis? Oh yeah, no, the other one, the all yellow one. That ride is so fun because you go straight down! And also there are these tunnels you go through that are underwater...it's so fun! But you know, there's oxygen in them so you can breathe and everything."

Not even kidding...I wish I would have gotten that on tape!

There was this one time I told someone in the GP that Tomb Raider was all underground and it was a rollercoaster that had a drop twice as tall as Son of Beast and went upside down 35 times and they believed me.
Monday at PKI my friend and I went on the bumper cars for the heck of it. We had bought SOB souvenier cups, and when we got off, my friend realized that he had left his cup in his car. By the time we made it back around, the next load of people had already started. He forgot what his car looked like, and there were like 40 cars or so. We ended up riding the bumper cars 5 times before we finally found his cup. What a moron, not something I'll let him forget anytime soon!

Yes I'm 15, no I'm not childish, I'm not being sarcastic, well maybe I do have somewhat of an ego...

When I was a freshman in HS, 9 years ago, we took a field trip to King's Dominion. My friend and I were waiting in line for something and there was a mother in front of us who was carrying a little kid. So, we made 'scary' faces at the kid to get him to cry. I don't remember if it worked but it was funny at the time. Highschoolers do that kind of thing so we can't be considered insensitive.
coastermaster, I hope I was waiting and laughing at you when you were too afraid to ride your first big rollercoaster.

1) Well, I did not see this, but it was related to me by who it happened to (to be more precise, my wife).

Last Summer we were at Morey's Piers in Wildwood an were spending the afternoon at the waterpark at the end of the Mariner's Landing. We were on one of the slides where you lay down on your stomach on this little mat and go down head first). My wife went first, I went second. After I made it to the bottom and came up out of the water, I saw her standing by the side laughing. I asked her if I looked that funny. She said no. What had happened was this... She was wearing a new swim suit, one that zippers down the front, and the trip down the slide and the force of her hitting the water caused the zipper to go half way down and... well... Anyway, you can imagine what happened. She said she quickly put everything back in its palce, closed the zipper and appologized to the girl who was the life guard who said "Don't worry about it... it happens a several times a day. At least yours stayed on." (I guess that also explains why there were several teen age guys just hanging out at the bottom of the slides watchign people come down).

2) Great Adventure... before it was Six Flag-ized (years and years ago). It was on the sky ride. There was this kid who was on it and got so scared of heights that he just curled up in a little ball on the floor in the middle of the car and started freaking out. Oh, wait... that was me. Never mind.

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"

i want to be a lifeguard!

Ive seen a lot of people at SFMM try to conquer the trashcans, and most dont make it!

Heres one:

At SFWoA they have these gooey hands that you can win in the golden nugget arcade, and its this hand that can strech like 20 ft (if you know how to do it;)) Well anyways there was this kid who was about 2 years younger (13ish) than me at S:UE, and he was staring me down for some reason, when we got off the ride he said in his deepest voice "Whats up Essay" (don't know how to spell it, just wrote it like it sounds), so i took the gooey hand and slapped him in the face, it wasnt that hard, but it left a little tiny hand mark on his right cheek. It looked as if he had been turned down by a 2 year old. He ran off to his mom, who told a worker. Well by the time we saw him running to his mom we were already out of Rockville and by the time we saw security we were on top of Americana. Nothing happened to us! Thats not something evil to do, the kid was pretty old, so dont go saying i like to make little kids cry!

Heh, in line for my first ride on Wicked Twister, the high-dive show was going on at the same time. Some guys ahead of me were yelling "Don't jump! It's not worth it!" or "Jump Jump!"

"And that's why I'm a coaster enthusiast." - Dude behind me on MF

Well, I've heard "The Magnum is sinking Story" at Cedar Point when I went last year, and because it was my first visit to the park, I thought it was absolutly hilarious. I'm sure you have all heard a similar story when you have been, From what I rememeber, It was 2 Girls in front of me in the MF Queue with a conversion that went something like this

Girl 1 - Hey, have you heard the news about Magnum
Girl 2 - No Whats that
Girl 1 - Well ever sinse the ride was built, Its been sinking all the time, apparently it was built on soft ground, so thats why it happening, and every year it keep sinking about 10 inches.
Girl 2 - Are you serious, How can a Coaster be sinking
Girl 1 - I am serious, everyone knows about it, and its even been in the papers and on the internet, Its even going to close next year and be demolished.
Girl 2 - WOW, I guess its true then.

Of course, when I came off MF, I just laughed and laughed because I thought it was so funny,While it may have started as a simple internet hoax, It seems that pretty much everyone in the Ohio Area knows about it and fell for it BIG TIME.

At the McDonalds by SFWoA some guy deliberately went out of his way to hit a newspaper stand with his car.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

I'm sure we've all heard members of the GP talk about a coaster, claiming they know every detail on the said ride. On that same note, I feel comfortable saying that all of us buzzers find it funny when they fail to tell their buddies acurate information.

It'd be even funnier to me if someone (not myself, I don't like to sound like a know-it-all in public) told them the correct info., and make them feel embarased in front of their friends.
