Just what exactly is the record for the tallest inversion? If im not mistaken, isnt it Volcano the Blast Coaster, with its first inversion being at 155 feet? Somebody correct me if im wrong.
I just love how B&M make their monster loops, Batman Knight Flight has to be my favorite loop of theirs...it has the most hangtime of any that ive experienced, it even made me come out of my seat.
Oh yeah, i saw on Intamin's official website where they were working on a TEN inversion coaster....anybody have any info on that, or where it will be , or what it looks like?
Viper at SFMM holds the record at 188(171 drop) feet.
But the highest single inversions, with out the main drop, is 142 feet on Batman Knight Flight at Six Flags Ohio
Alpengeist is invetted and so i do not believe it is counted. But its height is 195 (170 drop) feet.

I always thought it was the vertical loop on Viper at SFMM.
However it wouldn't give you that "hangtime" as the loop isn't huge like B:KF's loop. It's the standard size Arrow loop placed high above the ground to compensate for speed. (kind of like you had to do in RCT)

The Tallest looping coaster in the world is Son of Beast.
The highest inversion is Viper at SFMM.

I believe the first inversion on Jubilee Odyssey at Fantasy Island in the UK is taller than all of the ones mentioned above, but I don't have the actual number. The ride just opened on May 24, 2002 and I don't think the actual stats have been released yet.

I always thought that teh coaster with the highest inversion was Viper at SFMM, but i may be mistaken. I know its not Hulk. Hulk is only 105 ft.
-----------------
colossus' loop is only 75ft and starts at ground level, so i would hardly call that the worlds highest inversion!
and jubilee odyssey is only 185ft tall, and the loop is 150ft tall which starts 20ft off ground level.
hope that clears a few things up!
Well I knew Jubilee Odyssey wasn't as tall as they claimed (265 ft), but I thought it was a little taller than 185 ft. You are probably right...I am only going by what I have seen in pictures and we all know that pictures can be deceiving.
Happy Coastering!

Actually last I heard the tallest inversion went from Batman Knight Flight's loop, to Superman Krypton Coasters loop.
Since the stats for Jubilee Odyssey could be disputed since they seem to be lying about them I would say that Superman Krypton Coaster still has the tallest inversion until it is proven that the Jubilee Odyssey has it.

Okay, since Volcano is my #1 coaster, I must confirm that, to my knowledge, its Sidewinder is indeed the tallest inversion in the world. Now, I won't include Jubilee Odyssey in this list because I'm not 100% sure where it would fit in, but here you go:
1. Volcano: the Blast Coaster, Paramount's Kings Dominion; 155'
2. Viper, Six Flags Magic Mountain; 140'
3. Superman Krypton Coaster, Six Flags Fiesta Texas; 135'
Now that's the top 3 list to my knowledge, excluding JO as I already said. If I'm incorrect on anything, please feel free to correct me.
