Hershey/Knoebels/Dorney: Tips?

"How far is Knoebels from Allentown/Dorney."
Knoebels is about an hour and a half from Dorney and Hershey.

"Are there any small rides for a 3 year old?"
Knoebels has about 20 rides just for the little kides ranging from kiddie bumper cars, kiddie whip, frog hopper (NEW), and the basic stuff. They range in price from $0.50 to $0.70 for the kiddie rides.

How is the laser show? Is it as good as Cedar Points and does it have any pyro?
The laser show is pretty good. I've seen it a couple of times after work. They incorporate the Hershey characters in the show obviously. I don't know how good Cedar Point's is. Sorry, no pyro. If you have any other questions, let me know.
Thanks, CoasterPunk...One more question if you had 4 days...Thr, Fri, Sat & Sun. And you were staying in Allentown for 3 and Hershey for 1, What would be your plan of attack. Would you try and hit all 3 parks? Or would you just go to 2? We have been to Hershey, but I haven't been on Lightning Racers and I love wood coasters! Thanks...

p-c-r,

FYI----We have bad roads in PA and there is alot of construction in and around PGH/Kennywood-PNC Park/Steelers new digs/highways ect...Also 2 words you'll here alot in the burgh are ain't, and n'at....For example I'm going to Kennywood n'at today....Don't ask LOL! Keep in mind that if you would make a second trip sometime (later in the year/next year) if you stay to the North of PGH you can hit Kennywood in about 45 min, and then hit SFWOA in 1hr 30 min....Just a thought..

I'd deffinately hit all 3 parks. Dorney and Hershey Thursday and Friday. Then Knoebels on a weekend. Although Knoebels doesn't offer a handstamp on the weekend. You will need to buy ride tickets. Prices range between $.70 and $2.00 a ride the most expensive being the Phoenix and Twister. Even with buying tickets your day at Knoebels will cost about the same as a day at Hershey or Dorney. If you want directions to Knoebels from Dorney drop me an email. Mine may be a little different from Mapquest or Maps on Us but might be a bit faster.

I'd also consider Great Adventure one of the days as well. It's roughly an hour and a half from Allentown. If you would hit GAdv I'd do it that Thursday eliminating super long lines.

I can't wait to go to Coaster Con at Hershey, Dorney, and Knoebels.
Well, guys, I'm back from The Big Trip, and let me reiterate: Thanks! I had an awesome time. A trip report will come soon enough, try to be patient. ;)

Bad roads, eh? Forewarned now I shall prepare. Not sure the specifics of exact dates for my PENN trip, PENN will be the furthest thus far I have tarveled into the "north" besides Ohio. Sorta glad we decided to skip 'burgh this time around, it's coming in a couple of years, I hope. Funny words like n'at, huh? I'm southern, from the mountains(near where blue people live in them hills), and have been living at the beach for a few years, so for me it's like "ain't that 'nuff, Dude!?" or something messed up(that's probally a small exaggeration). Dialects are cool:).......

Maps on Us, anybody trust them? I've seen, in thier words, some creative routes, I haven't had much to compare to, any luck with 'em? *** This post was edited by p_c_r on 6/14/2001. ***
