The worst injury I have received on a coaster is from Boomerang at SFMW. The seats are not cleverly designed to say the least. The have padding on the back of the seat for your back, by your right and left shoulder blade, but no padding for your spine. So my spine got rubbed against the hard plastic and with the jostling it kept acratching and after the ride, the skin by my spine was all worn away. That really hurt. CP's Corkscrew has a hard plastic seat too, but it didn't cut my back like Boomerang, it just was uncomfortable.
About SLCs, Kong at SFMW is the smoothest I've been on. It's also the slowest, you will drop into the restraints through the two inversions if you are in the middle of the train because it stalls so much. It actually looks like it almost valleys when they run it without passengers.
The only coaster I ever thought was too rough to ride again immediately (but I did ride later that day) was The Rattler when it first opened. That was pretty intense, the first drop was psychotic, and the helix was insane near the end. Unfortunately I heard that they were getting about one minor injury a day. It was depressing to go back there 4 years later, not knowing about the changes and dragging your friends along with you. What a let down! Now it looks ugly, and is more like a glorified wooden mine train coaster... Which makes me even more upset since SFFT is such a cool area for coasters. (i know that there are other rock quarrys that became parks but this is the only one I've been to)
