Have you HONESTLY ever cut in line?

The closest I've ever come to line jumping would be switching places with another party who asked me to step ahead of them in the station so they could be on the same train as their friends. There's no harm in that, as long as it's only a switch between two groups...

However, some people try to get with their friends by moving up two train spots. Don't do that, because there's a possibility of throwing off another party's setup.

I will admit, I never have and probably never will do it.I mean whats the point trying to have a bit of fun queue jumping and taking the risk of being thrown out of the park, Its just not worth it.

However, I have kinda done it before, But I assure you it was'nt proper queue jumping, It was all Legal(HONEST;) ) will explain briefly

OK, I was queueing up for Oblivion at Alton Towers, Now as you may or may not know, the ride has 2 Queueing Lines to speed up queueing time. Now I got near the station when one side of the queue had probably a 10-15 min queue time, whereas the other side was a WALK ON,so me and my friend happly queued up that side and complety walked on the ride(It was great) We Done it 5 times overall with no queueing time whatsoever. eventually someone tryed to argue why I was queue jumping, but I tryed to expain the ride actually has 2 queueing lines so was doing nothing wrong, he then said nothing and gave me a evil grin,LOL. What make this story even more hilarious is that no one else bothered to follow us up the other queue line, We got so many evil looks from people, It was hilarious. We just laughed for ages when we kept walking on the ride yet others were queueing 10 mins, HA HA HA

So anyone else done this where there is actually 2 queue lines on a ride, Queued up the empty line but not illegally queue jumping????
Honestly? Never. I scream when others do, though.

Is it really wrong to take an open seat while you are leaving who cares. I haven't like skipped a mass crowed or anything, only once to catch up with my freinds on Raging Bull right at the entrance i jumped over the fence. Nobody cares, it is a rush though, super fun. I don't think anything that i have done would get me kicked out, but i am a pro at taking open seats, see my reply on the first page, it is the last one.

I never have, and have honestly never even thought about doing it.

Neil H. I find all of that wrong and you are taking stupid chances IMO. If you get caught, thee you go, ejected from the park and you will not be able to ride any coasters that day anymore. It is rude to cut in front of people and I would hate to see someone sneaking in line into seats. That is wrong, rude and stupid. I would never do something like that and I'm not a wuss or prune. I just don't feel like taking a chance at getting kicked out of a park just because I did not want to wait 15 more minutes for a ride. The UNBEARABLE AGONY!!! (sarcasm) Dream on Neil H.

Whatever man, I am not saying what you think. After the ride is over and the other people have boarded and the gates are closed, who cares if someone who just rode jumps into an open seat. It is an advantage that you take or you don't. I would rather take it and get another ride. if you don't have the skills to not get caught then don't. I have gotten caught taking an extra seat and they don't really care. They just undo your thing and tell you to leave the ride. I am not stupid enough to jump right in the morning, come on! Man, i do this stuff at night when i could care less about leaving. I use oppritunities i don't cheat people. I am getting an extra ride a harmless way. I am not jumping the line or anything. You have distorted views. I am not a badass, me and my bros always do it. I have never seen one person that cares.

Remember our discussion about "Why does the general public think Coaster Enthusiasts are assholes (something like that)?" Maybe you proud "Line Jumpers" might be the reason. Does it not make you mad when you witness preferential treatment being given to others. Sorry kids, we all put our pants on the same way, you're no better or more special than the person next to you. If you're an asshole, don't brag about. To answer the original question, OF COURSE - No I haven't cut in line!!!
I can't believe this thread turned into advice on how to line jump. People that line jump or promote line jumping just have no concept of what it means to be considerate. What makes you think that you are so much more special than the other people in the park who also paid their admission? I wish more people would put up a fight when someone goes to cut them in line. In certain parks, I probably would feel safe creating a scene if someone tried to cut me in line, but in other parks, I'm not so sure. The only bad thing is that the parks that have the most line jumpers are the ones I'd feel least comfortable making s scene. I think what Jeff does is reasonable because it quickly attracts the attention of a lot of people to one person who is cutting in line and that would usually scare them into submission! :)

I am not an asshole. I don't jump in front of people. I don't like jump a fence and turn around and say haha i am in front of you. You think i am bragging about jumpin in line?!?! I don't know what you thought i wrote but i was simply saying that i harmlessly take an open seat. I do things when oppritunity knocks. I though that coaster enthusiasts would take an op. to ride the things that they love instead of dispise it. I really thought that a true coaster buff would see a chance like that and get an extra ride on the thing that they love. What is an enthusiast, when they see a chance to get another ride and don't take it. I am not giving advice of how to line jump, i am giving advice of how to get another ride. nobody cares. It isn't rude or inconsiderate. I am a great person, and i think that something this harmless wouldn't matter. You all need to lighten up and live a little. I am not saying that if you don't line juump that you won't have fun in life i am trying to get across that i truly think that a real coaster enthusiast would do the same thing i do. Take an empty seat that would otherwise go to waste. Don't spend your time writing about me and line jumpimg because i don't.

Yo, Neil H., I'm glad you're a Pro at something. With your poor human behavior and sorrowful skill with the english language you won't amount to much more than what you already are. And I'm still trying to figure that out. But really, "who cares" - to quote yourself.
Sorry, but i am a great student and a great person and i am beginning to wonder about enthusiasts. Why is me taking an open seat a big deal? I am good a lot of things, i could get a sponsor snowboarding right now, i was on a national baseball team, i was on the mid-western championship football team, i can drive a golf ball 275 yrds, i am very smart, and i have a lot of friends. Where i am sittin it seems like i have a lot of choices that i can do. Poor human behavior??? I have amazing manners and discipline. I just don't seem to think that taking an open seat on a roller coaster should be reflected on my decency of a human being. I think you are bad for judging me for one little thing that i have done. I do many extreme sports and i like to live on an edge. Taking a small little risk like this is no big deal to me. I understand what good and bad manners are, but this is totally different. If you can name one reason why me taking an empty seat after a ride makes me less of a person i would love to hear it.

It sounds more like you (Neil H.) just have poor respect for others who are waiting in line for a ride or just at the park altogether...
Example? A quote from your first post:

last fall me and my school went to SFGAm, and we were all being bad, it was awesome, whenever i am with my friends we like doing really fun stuff and being crazy...
...I am not really afraid of getting in trouble, who cares.

This makes me suggest that you just treat the whole system without any respect especially the guests who paid their fees to get into the gates just like you or me... just like the park workers who are trying to keep people like you from creating a scene or causing any abnormal (ie: snagging a 2nd, 3rd, 4th ride... getting in the middle of the line just 'to catch up with your friends', or overall being bad) disruption that would otherwise not have happened if it wasn't for you.

Sorry dude... but this just seems overall wrong!

I don't line-cut or line-jump for the reason because I have respect for all others because if I put myself in their shoes... I'd be pretty pissed off at myself!!!
Sure i have respect for all others, i paid my money too. I don't line skip, I TAKE AN OPEN SEAT!!!!! Are you not getting this? Okay my first reply made me seem like a bad person or whatever. I wasn't saying that it is fun skipping in line i was saying that it was fun the first time i didn't get caught, taking an extra seat that is. You people may not know me, but i am not a bad person!!!! Every reply i have seen about me is saying that i was skipping people in line. I was not. Please understand that. Sure you waited your time in line, and i saw an open seat and sat in it. It is not skipping, and i am not a bad person. My friends did skip to get to thier friends. Last time i didn't go with them i spent two hours searching for them. I agree that it was wrong but it was one time, but i am talking about taking an extra seat not skipping. Please understand that i am a good person. If you don't know me than don't judge me, i am a great person.
