Have you HONESTLY ever cut in line?

Soggy's avatar
I did, but it was a long tome ago, when I was young and immature. It remains a dark day in my past, one that I am not proud of.

grizzly, I must admit, when people do what you describe, I hate it. For all we know, there is nobody with your party in front of us. Not that it makes it ok, all people should wait through all of the line. I have seen kids do just that, go all the way, through the entire queue saying that they were "catching up" to the rest of their group. They went right up to the station and on the ride, not meeting anyone. Arghh!! Simply not fair, they should have been ejected from the park.

Mean Streak like has NO lines what-so-ever on a wednesday. My friend and I were allowed to stay on. Although they wanted us to change our seating so that other people has a chance in different places. We rode like 7 times. Then we got bored. Then we started making poses for the camera and got off to look at them for another 3 or 4 trips LOL! It was a blast....
As I digress to the original topic, the only time I actually ever line-cut was the last time I went to CP. The line was out of the gates. It was before they opened it that day. My friends yelled at me to get in line. I thought it was the line. They said no over my walkie talkie. So I got in line with my girlfriend (very front). I feel bad about it. I didn't know! lol. So if you were there and saw two people going to the front on 7-29-00, that was me! I'm sorry! :)

If someone doesn't realize that line cutting in any form is rude, you'll probably never get them to understand. There is NO reason ever to cut in front of someone else, unless you think rules don't apply to you, and you are more important than the people that you now have your back to.

However, understand that most people will allow you to cut, because they are very uncomfortable about saying something that will ruin their day because of your rudeness.

You are not more important than the person in front of you, show respect, for that person puts up with the same problems in some parks that you do, and if they're having a bad day you might become part of it.

People who cut in line should be shot. With a BB Gun of course. Haha. I never cut, never have never will. There is no excuse for cutting other than being a total red ass.
Never have, never will. Why should I get special treatment? I paid as musch as eveybody else, so why act like it?
I just feel bad for doing it. I had no idea I just went up there. I was about to leave when they said to get in line with them. I didn't know what to do! Believe me, I feel awful for doing it.

We used to run ahead in lines (such as Pirates of the Caribbean) as 10 year olds at Walt Disney World but never since. Enduring a queue is hard enough in the summer sun without invoking the wrath of others. And lately I've seen a lot of fed up people stop others from "joining others in the front of the line" by merely blocking their path and saying no. And THEN getting applause from the others who have WAITED THEIR TURN! I've also seen line jumpers evicted from SFA and find that refreshing. Keep up the good work.

I preety much Line Jumped while waiting in Dinosepre at SFMW. Me and a couple of my friends saw more friends of ours and got out of the line and moved up about 5 minutes worth of line. Its borderline.

On Space Mountain on the huge que, wich barley anyone was in, on the que entrance i practically sprinted in front of the people walking, as far as i am concerd if your in the first part of a deserted que you can go till a line forms.
The closest I have ever gotten to line-cutting was in the Medusa (SFMW)line. There is a open area with pop machines (otherwise known as soda machines to all the people from Cali). My friends continued on and I couldn't get the machine to take my dollar, when it finally did, my group was a little ways up, so I politely asked people if I may meet my friends up ahead in the line.
Once a guy cut into line in front of me for Riddler's Revenge. When I tried to get him the heck out of there, he got so mad that the security
noticed anyways, and the jumper threw a garbage can at me.

Not the kind of things you want in a line full of big, tough mexicans. Why cant people see this makes things worse?

I've NEVER line jumped, and never will, but I HAVE played the game, ''musical coaster.''

It was especially big at BGT last November when the park was pretty dead and they were running two trains on Montu and Kumba.

HOW TO PLAY:

After waiting in line like a normal human being, take your ride.

After the ride is over and you are directed to the exit, take your time and wait for the ops to start loading the next train.

After all are seated, peak around for an empty seat...if there is one available, take it and enjoy another wait free ride! It also looks good on the op's part...filling empty seats. :)

A few notes about musical coaster:

- Do not block the exit or hinder the loading process in ANY way.

-Be weary of using the ''musical coaster technique'' for front seat rides, it is usually frowned upon, not by operators, but by waiting guests. :)

Only time I did came with the "blessing" of a park employee. One of the "gates" was down in the Queue line for Spiderman at IOA and about 40 people (myself and wife included) kept going straight (through the downed "gate") instead of turning and we wound up in the Express Pass line by mistake. An employee came running up toward the group and asked my wife if the people behind us were with us. My wife said "no" and the employee stopped the few poeople behind us and made them go back through the queue to get to the regular line, but left the rest of us pass. So "Technically" I suppose we did "jump" infront of all the people in the regular queue... but only because of the confusing queue line and the action of the employee.

I promise I won't go off on a rant about those @#$%^&*! Toboggan's again.
I have done (with employee permission) the musical seats before. But as far as cheating _through_ line. Nope...and I'm a pain in the arse to those who try to get past me.

It's still not tall enough!!!!!
I never have, and never will. It's just simply following the golden rule. I hate it when people line jump, therefore I don't do it myself.

I saw several people above saying that they have stayed on for re-rides when there was an empty queue. I don't think this is line jumping--if there's no one in line, and the ride ops will let you go again, then there is no harm in it.

I never have purposely jumped in front of a lane. When I was anywhere between the age of 6-11, I would stay outside the line with my mom or go do something while my dad saved our spots in line. That could be based as cheating but we would have been in the line anyway and that all happened while I was a child a long time ago. I have never ran in front of a person in line or snuck in line because it's wrong to the people in front of me who have been waiting in line and I don't want to et thrown out of the park just because I did not want to wait 15 or 20 minutes for a ride on a coaster. I have played the game musical coaster before. I was on the Hurler at PKD with a friend of mine, about 15 minutes before the park was going to close. There was nobody in the lines because everybody was in line for Hypersonic and Volcano: The Blast Coaster. After the ride was over, we stayed in our seats and rode again, or if someone was waiting to go in out seats, we would gladly get up and walk over to another seat on the train. I have done that many times before. If the employees are fine with it, the seat is not being used during that rotation and nobody in line is upset because there seat is taken, then there is no harm no foul in my opinion. But I have NEVER and will NEVER purposefully line jump in front of other patient riders.

Who hasn't. I've done Raging Bull, Shockwave, Viper, Giant Drop, Iron Wolf, Batman, M-Force(just caught up to bro, wasn't really skipping, people were receptive), umm. last fall me and my school went to SFGAm, and we were all being bad, it was awesome, whenever i am with my friends we like doing really fun stuff and being crazy. We have so much fun. I am not saying like i jumped in front of people i don't know or anything. People i know though. I am not really afraid of getting in trouble, who cares. what i was saying is that i just jumo in an open seat and climb ovwer fences to get in line. Cedar point is really against sitting in an open seat. On Raptor, last ride of the night there was an open seat i jumped in it and then there was like five ride ops crowding me and then all of a sudden they went to the guy in front of me who did the same thing and he got kicked out. It was hilarious. I didn't even get caught. And if you do that make the person next to you like you real quickly or they will tell on you. One time on Raging Bull i started in the way back and i got five rides doing that and i ended up in the front.
Here are some tips:
1. don't go to the front.
2. when you get in the station never let the op notice you
3. always pretend like you are looking at something the other way.
4. it helps to wear a hat and wear it sometimes and not, and turn it or whatever.

SFO if you ask them they don't care and espacially busch gardens tampa doesn't, they are really cool and stuff. I did that on montu like 7 times in a row. I don't like skip people i just take advantages when i see them. I wouldn't really take the risk to get kicked out. And you get a lot braver at night cause it doesn't matter.
