As long as were on the subject of precipitation falling while riding coasters, has there ever been freak weather when it snowed while being at a theme park? Possibly in April or October when alot of parks are open in the northern states. It does snow at times during these months.
Hmm, now that I think of it, it wasn't snow but one time a few years ago, before I road coasters, I was at CP with my family and it started hailing, a lot.

I was on the Raptor in the rain. Man that was one helluva ride! :) When I got off, it felt like little pins were poking my face.
i remember the first year raptor opened on opining day.at the end of the day we wanted to ride just one more time before we left, and just as we got on it started to pour rain.while flying down the first hill it felt like i was being peltid in the face with pennies, but it was a blast,i would do it again anytime.also last year we were the very last train to leave raptor for the year in the front car(oh how i miss summer)
MEAN STREAK (CP)in the rain.
RAPTOR (CP) in the rain.
BIG DIPPER (SFO) in the rain.
MAGNUM XL (CP) in the rain.
and last but not least...
STEEL PHANTOM (K) in the rain.
Overall, rain hurts, makes your eyes water and sprays coaster grease.
Ain't it fun! :)
The Beast, October, 50 degrees, dark, front seat, monsoon!
-Ouch!
Would I do it again.. Hell YES!
I Have ridden the Orient express durring the rain many times and it was sweet ! It felt like you were going aleast 65-70 mph on the bottom INERLOCKING LOOP.
I was on Viper at SFGAm and I had to keep my head down to avoid the rain hitting my face. It was dark and the train went faster than normal and was a great ride, except for the whiplash once we hit the brakes.

DÉJÀ VU – Fast Forward…Blast Backwards!
Yup, on the Demon. As we were going up the lift hill backwards, a lot of deliquents on the train were spitting on each other. It was digusting.

Never ride during a 'spitting' rain. You've been warned.
Yes, I was lucky enough to ride Nemesis at Alton Towers in the Rain.
Basiclly, I had queued up as normal, and decided to queue for the front, anyway, me and my friend were the next people on when it decided to rain(and it really rained hard too) We expected them to stop the ride, but were shocked, when the ride kept on going(Nice one Alton;) the experience was totally worth it, It was running Twice as fast and we got such a WILD RIDE. I may have got soaked and it hurt like hell, but it was so so worth it :)

Keeping Coaster!!
Best "ride in the rain" I ever had was on the Rebel Yell during an ACE con. I sat in the middle of the train so I could just remain seated and re-ride to my heart's content, it was raining, but not particularly hard...

The best coaster experience I ever had was on Colossus at night with a light drizzle. We rode it over and over due to lack of any line. I felt I was acending to a higher spiritual plateau. It was wonderful.

Ghostrider = good
My very first ride on Millennium Force was in the rain. It was a spitting, splotchy type rain and going 94mph made sure I felt it! Still...MF was awesome and the rain really made you feel the speed and power behind MF.

The Force, at night, in 1-1, in rain.

I also rode Raging Bull in the rain and pelting rain with 72mph does not feel good, although I rode Viper in the rain too and it was one of the best rides ever...
recently, on easter at hersheypark, at 7:30, in the pouring rain, on the preview springtime days, we (me and my friend +siblings) were 4 out of about 8 people in the park!
We rode great beatr in the rain, and it was roaring! The rain wacked me really hard in the face and eyes. bad day to wear contacts though (they got all disloged) fun day though.
my first ride on steel phantom was a week before closing (permanantly :( ) in the front, in the rain.
ouch.
