Have $1Mill...Want a TOGO?

While looking through sites before work I saw something very interesting on www.usedrides.com under the search. I did my usual search for coasters and came across King Cobra for sale...no kidding...this time the pics are there to prove it, PKI is getting rid of their TOGO, NOT PKD!

Yes King Cobra is a stand-up, and I must say the one of only two TOGO coasters I can stand...pardon the pun...LOL I think that KC and Shockwave at PKD are great, considering they were firsts when built.

Why though do I feel a stand-up is coming to Great Escape in 2002?

bigkirby, K.C. is a stand-up, good little ride, amazingly "minimalist" cars...nice loop, even a section of trick-track. For $1M, probably a good buy for some park, assuming the coaster is operationally sound and that replacement parts are readily available...oh, that's right, TOGO...replacement parts may be the reason PKI is ditching the ride, 'cause the queue tended to fill up the last couple times we were at PKI. Oh well, somebody will buy it anyway, and I wish them luck finding parts WHEN it breaks down...LOL!

I would caution calling this news...remember Drachen Fire went up for sale once...I had the 300+ acre farm, just not the $4m+ to spend :-(

Yeah, it's definitely King Cobra. One of the first shots shows the ice cream stand near the ride exit. This thing's been rumored to leave for the past 2 yrs. Why do I think that KC won't be going anywhere until PKI can find a buyer?

If you can't find parts (didn't TOGO go bust?) then you would have to make them yourself. Hard if the part was damages and overall, more trouble than it's worth.

Yea, we have SYSCO "food" at my camp, I would rather have homemade chicken from Knott's than anything from SYSCO... Also on your sig...the guy says "Where can I find some Dam Bait?" Not "Where is the dam tour" I just watched it in Art. Also, don't chew bigkirby's head off...It hurts people's eyes to read in all caps, plus it is taken as Shouting.
