Has Arrow sold anything for 02 or 03?

Let me put in my 2ยข here......

When Karl Bacon and Ed Morgan were asked to build a runaway mine train for SFoT, they wound up smashing the train along the track curves and messing up the cars on its first run in front of about 20 spectators ...(executives of all people) This group shook their heads and walked off.

This car also didn't make it all the way around on a different test run.

Well, 42 years later, that coaster is still running well and Arrow have built about 20 others.

Same with the suspended, the Bat had its issues, and the design is progressed and been successful.

And the log flumes had issues as well.

X is a BRAND NEW concept, the wil be issues, and will be successful, so quit your whining.

john peck, as far as I'm concerned, your 2 cents is "good as gold"...anything that is radically new and different WILL have some problems:  if you're not willing to spend some time to work out the "kinks", stick with the tried and true...

Well, all investments that are extraordinarily successful are big risks.  If they weren't big risks, then everyone would have them and you'd have no "edge."  CP took risks with MF and Magnum, and look at the success they got.  In fact, I really can't think of a very successful park that hasn't made a risk of some sort with their capital.

They sold me a couple shirts and a hat! :) That counts for something!

Model coasters and rides
The Outsider said 'lots of mechanical problems.'

Obviously it's true it opened late for mechinical reasons, not too astounding given the uniqueness of this brand new concept.

However, those who have ridden X may likely be inclinded to believe it will, in fact, be a maintenance challenge. The rack/pinion rotation system seems to show signs of wear quickly (noticable during the course of a day, or at least I perceived it that way). The rotations are not all particularly smooth, and it seem like the roughness would wreck havoc on the system. Time will tell. Remind yourself of Arrow coasters history of wear... even regular loopers get beat up after time.

Anyway, it's a wonderful ride! Hopefully more parks will make one (But what do I care... I live in LA!)

43 rides and counting....

Can't this thing go any faster?

In regards to the original question, a representative from Arrow at No Coaster Con 2001 said that Arrow had sold one other 4D coaster in addition to the one @ SFMM. Only time will tell if this deal fell through or if it will be built some time in the future.

Let's not forget the olympic torch! Perhaps an olympics themed park will open someday..(and they could put in an Olympia Looping) ;)

I'm sure they'll have more than one coaster to build this year.
