Hard to read text in News

The descriptions of the news items are appearing in black over the dark blue background. This is extremely difficult to read. actually impossible. The only way to read them is to copy it to another program.

I use the Cool Blue palette.
Operating on a Mac, OS 9.2, IE 5.1

Might I suggest switching to a computer?

-'Playa

(who couldn't resist)

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

You have the ability to change palettes since cool blue is not the default palette...so change to a different palette!

EDIT: I (just to see for myself) changed to the blue palette and everything looks fine on my end, so as 'Playa said..."Switch to a computer" ;)

Never !!!!

I love my Mac. I will never change. If Macs disappear, I will stop using computers.

It seems to be a style sheet issue. When I switch to the Ocean color scheme, the news has white text.

Also, I think the ocean scheme would look better without the dark gray background. could be a dark blue or dark green instead.

You know, I'm still sitting on your suggested color schemes too, but in all honesty I've barely touched any underlying code on this site since February! As I'm still moving all my junk to the new server in San Fran, I'm not in any hurry to change much of anything yet, but patience, my sons. :)

And can you believe how damn fast the site is since it moved? Wow!

Nope. Can't afford it anymore, and off-site hosting is a lot cheaper than it used to be. I've still got about 7k I need to make up for though in spent money, so it'll be awhile until I'm in the clear.

Ah, that would explain why the site has been so slow to load pages lately.....

(apart from the delays getting to www.burstnet.com last week which was another issue altogether)

Actually a router crapped out on the host so there was some packet loss on Sunday and the first part of Monday while the redundant stuff tried to pick up the slack. Since that was resolved everything has been in good shape.
