Happy Birthday Anton...

Without Anton, we'd still be riding around in Arrow mine trains...

Show some love and support, give us the reasons YOU love Anton Schwarzkopf...:)

My top five:
1. Airtime
2. No OTSRs
3. Teardop vertical loops
4. OMG-quick flywheel launches
5. Nail-you-to-the-seat G forces

As always, thanks! to RideMan Dave for maintaining the Rollback...

I took a non-enthusiast to HP this past weekend and he gave props to SDL over Great Bear without me saying a word.

Can someone please forward this love letter to SFGAm just to let them know that we adore Anton, and would be lost without the Whizzer as part of the line-up.

I think what Bob's getting at is that Revuslion wouldn't BE so...Revolting...if not for Intamin's retrofits. Intamin *was* the company brought in after SFMM had the complaints, right?

Oh, and thanks everybody...I couldn't share a birthday with a better guy! :)

Schwarzkopf? Damn! I thought it was Anton LaVey's birthday. I'll have to go back and check the Church of Satan's 2005 calendar again. :-)

Happy Bday Gator!

My first memory of being cognizant of airtime was on Shock Wave! If I was born just a bit earlier Big Bend would be on my record :-(. Wildcat at Bell's brings fond early-enthusiast memories as well.

I love Anton for so many reasons. One I can think of unmentioned is the Schwarzkopf "look." Sexiest coasters out there!

Happy birthday [again], Gator!!!

Aha! Now I see why gator is so consistent with opening these threads on Anton's birthday.

Happy birthday, gator! ;)

As with any Anton thread, I always feel the need to contribute. Here's my personal Schwarzkopf track record, with the year I first rode each coaster:

1980 - Sooperdooperlooper @ HP
1981 - King Kobra @ PKD
1997 - Wildcat @ CP
2000 - Scorpion @ BGT
2000 - Mind Bender @ SFoG
2000 - Viper @ SFoG
2002 - Shockwave @ SFoT
2003 - Greezed Lightnin' @ SFKK (Viper revisited!)
2004 - Laser @ DP
2004 - Wildcat @ WG

While only one of these is in my top 10, Schwarzkopf is undoubtedly my favorite steel designer. Here's to The Man.
