What is it Lassie? Did Timmy fall down the well again? Rough. Did Mr. Wilson have a heart attack? Rough. Is the drug dealer here for his money? Rough Rough. RUN!
RGW, SFMM's is the only Deja Vu I've yet to ride...congrats on the trifecta!
When I rode SFoG's last weekend, I was in 8b, no hands, and I was terrified...you can really feel that seatbelt holding you in!

(on B&M's one gets the outside and one gets the arms up and we switch off).
Ah, the great chain-pull debate ... who gets high arms and who gets low arms? :) Anyone else ever noticed that Raptor's seats seem to be the closest packed B&M seats? (I've only been to CP, BGT, BGW, IoA and SFWoA with B&Ms, but all the ones I've ridden are larger)

MWB, we had trainloads of folks at the Con riding SFMM's Deja Vu without hands.....you have to REALLY trust the restraints.....
Trainloads of All you Can Eat-ers going no-hands on Deja Vu? I'd be scared of that one, as those restraints must have really gotten a workout that day! ;)

I'm joining this thread late, so excuse me if this has been mentioned, but:

"With your hands up, I think it gives you more air."
While I'm no expert, I don't think the position of your hands matters all that much. If there are negative Gs and they're strong enough to lift your body, and restraint conditions are optimal, you're gonna lift. If hand position DOES matter, thn I'll take a stab in the dark and guess that hands-up = more wind resistance, and more wind resistance = less airtime.

And, Mamoosh, there are certain times when you can get more "air" by keeping your arms in the train.
I've found that if I simultaneously lift my feet off the floor and "brace" against the lapbar with my arms on ST and during "the drop" on Ghostrider that the feeling of weightlessness will be multiplied.
But that's cheating, so it probably doesn't really count...
Wow, I've turned into a real dork.

If you want a reason why you should put your hands up on coasters, just take a look at this classic picture. That's why I put my hands up, its part of riding a roller coaster, has been for years. Now I'm really looking for another picture of the Thunderbolt back when it was the Pippin, there is a really old picture of the first drop out of the station and the train is full of nuns and I know a few of them have their hands up ... I'll edit this post if I ever find the picture.
