Great rides for $2 mil/ under

The only prices I know are $7 million for Thunderhead (GCII) and $3.88 (U.S.) for Falken (S&S). These were the prices the parks quoted Amusement Business, so I am not sure how much padding and/or periphreals these include.

2mill could get you 10,000 vending machine.....does that put it in perspective?

According to rcdb the Falken S&S woodie being built in Denmark has an estimated cost of 25,000,000dkk, which in US dollars is around 3.8 million

Edit: Because I can't even spell small words properly :)

Ozark Wildcat was $4 mill, even though it is twice as expensive as Raven and Cornball it is still worth every penny!
The sad truth is since CCI is gone R.I.P. there are not a whole lot of GOOD rides for $2 mill. CCI was brilliance, to bad they had the problems and didn't charge enough, for the price of HW #1 and #5 woodie it coaster to build Shivering Timbers.

If you find a good ride for less than $2M you might want to let Kobe know about it............
One Word: FLYERS!
How much for the new S&S Dragstip ride? (Like the one at old town?) That's one of the biggest thrills you can get!

Just a little difference in price!

Corey, I would agree, although you could get those AND a Zipper, which I would argue is #4# a much bigger bargain in the "Holy Crap catagory of thrills." I just couldn't believe that they don't have one at Knoebels. :(

FLYERS's and I think I heard the new larsons are under $500,000.

Chuck, who knows they are very snappable

It's official Lesourdsville Lake is closed for 2003

Yeah, but how much do you think that Knoebels would be willing to sell theirs for?

The problem with CCI's definitely stemmed from the poor craftmanship by way of cutting corners.

Their coasters will not stand the test of time, I'm afraid without some SERIOUS and ONGOING TLC. Look at Villain and what it has become in just a few years (opinion).

Trust me, Raven cost Holiday World MUCH more than just 2 million dollars. Jeff Hammersly worked miracles with Raven AND Legend AND Tremors (little known fact that he built that as well). Heck, he told me out of his own mouth that the "original plans" for Tremors would have had the first coaster out crash right into the first tunnel. The plans didn't have the track built low enough!! He had to tell them 3 times before they realized he was right. And people wonder why there's HUGE clearance issues with LOCOSUMO. CCI was infamous for poor prep work.

Face it, as much as I'd love to think that Holiday World scored a huge coup by getting the #1 rated woodie in the world for 2 mil, the simple/sad fact is they probably ended up putting in about 5 times that to get it to what it is today.

JUST another reason to love Holiday World, I think. :)

Down with the enthusiast bureaucracy!

A park could buy the old King Cobra for a mill and change I think. A nice flat would be nice too, how much do the Huss rides run?
I know where you can pick up a 23 year old Huss Enterprise for around $75K......

How has nobody jumped on this yet?

I think I got a bite............darn, threw the hook again......
I think most of the Huss kiddies (Airboat, BeeBee, etc.) start around a $400,000 to $1/2-million and the standard flats start at a million (obviously price fluctuates with the market to a degree). Of course, you can get used Huss stuff affordably, such Funtastic Show's Frisbee w/ five trailers for 1/2-million dollars.
