Great deal on Holiday World area hotel

I know it is still 5 months before Holiwood Nights, but I got a head start on looking for hotels for that weekend. I booked 2 nights at the Baymont Inn for $67.00 a night. Comfort Inn wanted $152.99 a night. Santa's Lodge is not posting rates for that weekend yet.
I am just camping at LAke Rudolph again.

$152.99 a night at a Comfort Inn? Good lord is that ridiculous.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

They don't even live up to their name, ridiculous , more like insane. However, since that price is so high predate, then I would imagine if you dropped in their around midnight you might get a really good deal. I still say the best deal is finding a group and splitting a cabin at Lake Rudolph.

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.
Well, I would be interested in splitting a cabin at LR. Better than tenting and still be close.

I booked as soon as the dates were announced. Although I have always stayed at Motel 6 I found that much better rate at the Baymont as well. Yay!

Yup...also at the Baymont next year. Got a king room with a whirlpool spa, which will come in handy after marathoning on Voyage :-)

^I will be visiting you, Moosh! ;)

Dang Moosh, I can't seem to get away from you. Last year you were in our cabin and this year we are at the same hotel. Tina don't let Moosh in your room, he'll let the spiders in ;)

Is the Baymont Inn in Santa Claus, or is it out of town?

It's in Dale, about 10 mins to the west.
I actually stayed at Drury in Evansville. About 45 mins but well worth it as it was cheaper and better than some closer hotels...

^Yeah, Evansville is loaded with hotels at regular (reasonable) prices. Most are on Hwy 41.

True, but after a few hours of (exhausting) ERT I want my bed to be much closer.
The best part about the Comfort Inn in Ferdinand is you can hear *everything* in the bathroom above you, hours of entertainment.

I thought I heard a Holiday Inn Express is being built near Santa Claus?

^^I hear that, especially after Voyage! I could barely drive the 10 minutes to the Motel 6 afterwards! :)

I am used to driving as my last job I had an hour drive home, sometimes after 12 hours at work.

We got that same sweet deal at the Baymont last year. Word of Advice - Call the hotel and verify your reservation before you get there. I had my confirmation printed out, but they did not have it in their system. took about 2 hours to get it straightened out. UGH!

We'll be in a Legendary Cabin that weekend. Already reserved and a van full of people to share it with.
