I had my chance to ride Lightning Racer and Wildcat and All I could say was wow! Wildcat is an awesome twister, and Lightning racer is even better, offering some great airtime for those in search of it, it went straight to the top of my list as my favorite woodie. After about a dozen rides that day I have to recommend the last seat of thunder as the best seat on the ride, or at least that particular day.
Sadly I have yet to ride a CCI design. I hope to remedy that problem this summer by taking a one day road trip with some friends to Holiday World.

As a give and take? What give and take? The coaster nut in me says "Hershey"... the history nut (and Civil War re-enactor) in me says "Gettysburg". Just glad I live at about a half way point between the two.
Anyway... back to GCI. Just wondering what their current status is. They have not built anything since Lightning Racer in 2000. I realize that not every company is quite as prolific as CCI, but CGU has been idle for a year and by the looks of things (at least the RCDB's "planned" list for 2002) for the next year as well. Any one know on what they are up to now?

Thank goodness for THAT!!! I don't know what I'd do without my Gwazi (GCI) and my Cheetah (CCI) the only wooden coasters within a 5-hour drive... and if you can't tell by my sig, I prefer wooden coasters..
