Great America's new skyline

When you come to think of it SFGAm's skyline will be pretty impressive. I mean it's going to have four coasters that are over 170 feet tall! Are there any other parks which have at least four coasters that are over 170 ft.?
SFMM will, with X, GOliath, Deja Vu, and Viper.
Yep, but you won't see the 3-armed ferris wheel (SkyWhirl RIP) anymore. That helped make the skyline for the park.

It has been a sad past 6 months (not seeing SkyWhirl up) :(

The skyline will look different without the Sky Whirl. Next weekend I'm going to Chicago, so I'll see it, hopefully with V2 and Deja Vu mostly all the way up. Then I'll be able to appreciate it fully that that ride is gone! Sky Whirl, DIE DIE DIE! I hate that ride sent to us by the evil god of boredom! You get stuck on it for 20 minutes. That is 20 minutes you could spend in line for Raging Bull or Viper!
*faints @ TrBiggar's comment*

Sky Whirl was a ride where you could just sit down, relax, and talk a while, while getting a nice breeze. It wasn't too fun, but for people who have been going to the park for many years, and grew up with it, Sky Whirl has sentimental value.

PS: I don't think you'll see much of V2 or deja vu next week.

V2 Vertical construction hasn't started yet.

Oops, sorry, I read another post and found out you DO go to SFGAm a lot.

But I liked Sky Whirl for sentimental reasons.

I remember that cause that is when I got the news my brother died.

Well, not really. ;)

I didn't like sky whirl much...I only went on it once, and I felt like I was going to throw up on it. The repetitive spinning was nauseating...much rather have Déjà Vu.

V²-Vertical Velocity- I'm off and running! May 5!
You got that feeling like your gonna throw up to man!! I thought I was the only one. Man I only went on that ride once and I can't stand it. Deja Vu will be a good replacement.

Well, 3vs2 (for those who brought it up) say Sky Whirl sucked. I know quite a few people that feel sick on it. And, by the way, I have grown up with it. As a small child, I hated it (I'm afraid of heights.) Although last year when we went on it, i was fine... in closed areas I don't get scared of heights anymore. Although, in coaster cars I'm terrified of heights still. Thats why V2 and Deja Vu will be great!

And when are they going to start V2 construction?
OK, I thought this was about the skyline? Not just the Sky-Whirl, and why say it sucked? it was really relaxing, and scary, those chains!! I always thought they were gonna break, but anyways, I never really cared when I first heard about it leaving, but really, now that I think about it, growing up, and always going there with friends, riding it when the nice breeze hit you, and at night it was soo nice,, Im gonna miss it. And the Great America skyline is very cool! im pretty sick of just hearing about Magic Mountain on here, who cares! they are just getting these coasters so it could have the most.. And theme park to extreme park, I guess its not just MM, cause ive been getting mail from Great America and it says that too, so BOO-YAH!! AMERICAN EAGLE RED TRAIN IS DA PIMP!!. laterz

Dont forget S:TE. Just for kicks, I will mention the skytower. Its not a coaster, but it's 385 foot height sure adds to the skyline. *** This post was edited by sfmmman2001 on 3/25/2001. ***
Hmmm, I don't see how I didn't remember S:TE. Oh well, thanks for the correction.
Sure thing man. :)
To tell you the truth, I never liked the Sky Whirl. It would have been better to move it somewhere, but they didn't. I think Deja Vu's vertical construction should happen really soon. I think GA's skyline looks pretty good as it is. And with two new extra coasters, it's going to look better. The park will now have 12 coasters, which is up there with SFMM and CP. And most of the rides are good quality too. SFGAm will be even better than what it is now.

Didn't you just read Stevieweavie's message? He said he didn't want to hear about MM, nor do I. In fact, I hold a grudge against that park. I won't say why, it will just take to long to explain. So, lets never ever mention MM in a SFGAm topic again!

Deja Vu & V2. Can life get any better?

Are you sure V2 construction has not started?? I think you may be wrong!!!!

The Raging Bull #1!!
TrBiggar, you need to simma down naw. Didn't you read Luke's question? He asked if there were any other parks with least four coasters that are over 170 ft. Since Magic Mountain will have five, I dont see anything wrong with bringing the parks name up. If you dont like hearing about Magic Mountain, fine. But dont atack people for answering a question.
