Wait. You're saying you can feel the difference in layers of paint when you ride a roller coaster?
Like feel the difference in fractions of an inch of paint while riding in a multi-ton vehicle at a high rate of speed?
Ok.

I've ridden the bobsled at SFoT (the Sarajevo Bobsleds from SFMM) and I thought it was a great ride. One of the things I'm really looking forward to riding on the Labor Day Texas Trek...
And it has a fresh coast of paint and a single rider line now. It is a lot of fun, but I don't often take the time to ride it.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Andy, will you be making a cameo on Labor Day at SFOT?
I can. PM me trip details and we'll make an appearance.

Sweet!
Details seem a little sketchy right now, but we get an Andy credit! Well, I already have that credit, but this time it IS in a new park... ;~P
I don't think I have that credit.

It's like that princess that can feel the pea under all of those mattresses.
Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!

Imagine going on a painted metal slide with the flakes missing.. Same sensation but on a larger scale. You couldn't feel it on a coaster obviously, but on a bobsled certainly.
So a bobsled isn't a coaster (or at least rides completely differently) and offers the same sensitivity as your ass on metal?
Keep trying.
Again yes. Rides differently. You wouldn't argue different vehicles/different roads had different sensations so why would you argue different vehicles on a different track rode in another way? It's not just one layer of chipped paint, it's 20 years worth put on right over rust and beat up metal. The imperfections should be taken out not just painted over and added on to.
Imperfections in metal, I might buy. But that wasn't what you said (even if it's what you meant).
Now whether or not there's truth to the theory is another discussion altogether. Been talking coasters a long time and that's a new one to me.
Andy definitely has a one of a kind Tekno credit :-D.
SFGA facebook, just posted a clue picture of upcoming news for 2014, Ragin is prob gonna be replaced by a SkyScreamer, and they are starting to clear the area where the Iron Wolf was, I will at the Park Sunday and will try and take a peek!!
Love IT Live IT Die for IT!!
The Ragin Cajun is by far the crazy mouse that has been the "spinniest" consistently. That thing never fails to spin me like a teacup for a large portion of that second half, I dont know if SFGAm uses more grease, or if its their (fantastic) policy of having a single rider line leading the cars having more weight but I would be disappointed if this ride was removed as well.
2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando
New Tips have a clue as a recording breaking ride ...
Love IT Live IT Die for IT!!
That was a "clue" ?
And seriously, some of the worst acting I have ever seen. The girl who sat motionless at the desk was the most believable.
But what "Guinness World Record" will it break...?
I wouldn't have been surprised at an inversion record...until Smiler.
You would be correct sir. Rollercoaster going into Iron Wolf's old spot. Me thinks a Premier launch coaster just like Full Throttle at SFMM.
