Great Adventure coaster height and type confirmed

*pouring some gasoline on the fire*

When I was out at SFMM last November, I saw some plans for a 4d that had 2 raven turns and it had "Six Flags, New Jersey written on the bottom of them. Weird huh?

But I know 100% for sure, the next 4D wont be built until the 2004 season at the earliest. Parks are just real weary about jumping into bed with that chick :)

True enough, Chitown, wasn't thinking of that....but then again, SFGAm's coaster might just be *delayed* a bit, due to circumstances that the park might not have foreseen regarding Whizzer...Long Live Anton!

"pouring gasoline on a fire"...Chris, you underestimate yourself....;)

Either way SFGAd's would open before SFGAm, since SFGAd opens early April and SFGAm in early May.

So if the rumors are true, SFGAd will be the first park with 4 B&M's. Neat.

Those Purple berries look good. Please pass the bowl.

The countdown has begun to Gaydays 2003 at Disney and Universal.

That's good news to me - having a flyer so close. Now i won't have to go to Georgia to compare the Beemer Flyer to X-Flight.

Thanks Dragon for going and reporting back to all of us.

122ft sounds like a good height for a good wooden coaster, but that is just what I want, and I hope they get one.
Cyclone, what does that have to do with the topic? Anyway, If SFGAd gets 4 B&Ms before SFGAm... big deal. WE still hold B&M's first coaster (Iron Wolf), their first patented inverted coaster (Batman) and their only hypertwister (Raging Bull). Blows raspberry at Legendary

Take it up a notch, Mr. Operator! I wanna feel my brains in my feet!

OK...we still don't have any real proof that Gadv is getting a Flyer. Secondly, we have no proof it's coming from B&M. I would love to see Great Adventure get a Flyer... but I would hate having my hopes up and we get a tall Scooby-Doo family coaster.
It would be really funny if we did get that Scooby coaster ha......

My fingers are still crossed for a Stand-Up but that's like 1 in 50000....thanks to icky Shockwave.

122' seems like a good height to me could of make it a extra 3 feet, I just hope it has a good length and not short but I heard someone say it goes behind RT and Viper and being built in the season pass parking lot so I think it would cover a large area. 122 is a big step from 115 if its a flyer by b&m that means it be the tallest flying coaster in the world. That right there can start there campaining watch attendance increase. I don't think sfgam is getting anything too soon because shockwave is still there. Maybe in 2004 they might get something.

Hey if it IS a flying clone of SUF, and you guys in Jersey don't want it....can you send it to St Louis? We'll take it!

:)

I swear some people are never satisfied. Enthusi***es!

Holiday World Fan, I have ridden Orochi many, many times and I can say that it is better IMHO. It just seems a tad more intense through the helix, and the speed also seems, well..... speedier. Check out my pix at http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1186.htm They aren't great, but heck, there you go.:)

I spoke to a woman at Great Adventure and she said they will announce the new attractionS in Mid-October. I'm not sure if she said attractions on accident but that's what she said. She said keep checking the website in October.

Explains why i'm up at 4am in the morning. Too scaried to sleep!

I still want my 200+ foot Intamin hyperwoodie. Looks like thats out of the question now! I sure hope SFMM will get one! We really need the extreme airtime that Colossos at Heide Park offers right here in the USA!!!

Man they better not be giving SFGRADV 2 coasters in 03!

One coaster for 03 is fine but if they get two coasters in 03 that just takes even more from the 2003 budget,I'll never forgive SF or go to their park again if we get the shaft at our park in 03 because of this.

Great Adventure's not getting 2 coaster because they only presented one. I also just noticed that Great Adventure got 3 coasters in 1999.

Yeah, okay...did you think real hard when you thought that up?

wait, Great Adventure got 3 coasters in 99? wow i must be missing out ona whole sid eot my home park, the only coaster we got in 99 was medusa, unless of course your counting Blackbeards (family coaster) and road runner express (Zamperla kiddie coaster in Loony tons seaport.

i would hardly call those "major investment coasters, except for Medusa of course

Man, if Great Adventure is in fact getting 2 coasters for '03, then I think I'll sh*t myself. Then I'll change my pants and dispose of them, and after putting on clean pants, I will ride all of them.

I can dream, can't I? I will willingly drive the hour & 15 for an opening day ride. Of course, there'll probably be an ice skating rink in hell first...

Costafreak it looks like its true sfgam isn't going to put in a coaster in 2003 Shockwave still there and if your going to put a coaster in time for 2003 they would of started dismantiling SW. Anyway back to the discussion set aside the little people for a while. Sfgadv's also have another anniversary in 2004 so they not going to add 2 coasters next year so I can't see it happening now.

My bad for that one.
