I received an e mail from the Six Flags - Cedar Fair people telling me that Holiday in the Park is not happening this year so they can concentrate on their Spring to Fall peak season.
I am going to get a free bring-a-friend pass in it's place.
They also touted their new coaster coming next year.
Personally, I liked the event and I don't appreciate this news. I purchased my seasons pass with the understanding that it includes Holiday in the Park.
Grumble....grumble...grumble...

Actually they touted that "we have revised the timeline beyond 2026" for the new coaster.
OhioStater - - - > I swear I had your meme scene playing repeatedly in my head!
BrettV - - - > You are correct. The announcement about next year's new coaster is that it will be the following year. (But please renew your pass for 2026!!!!)

They actually didn't clarify that it would open the following year.
"We know there's a lot of anticipation around what's next for Six Flags Great Adventure, and we love hearing the enthusiasm from our fans.
You may know that we have a record-breaking roller coaster coming to the park and construction has begun! Behind the scenes, we have been working on an exciting multi-year plan for Great Adventure. As we continue to evaluate our construction projects, we've realized that the world-class size and scope of our coaster project means that it will take a bit longer to complete than originally anticipated. To ensure the ride meets our high standards of innovation, thrills and safety that you expect and deserve, and that we're able to debut it in the spring so our guests can enjoy it all season, we have revised the timeline beyond 2026. We appreciate the continued support and patience of our guests, partners, and team members.
We'll continue to update you on our social media channels, and look forward to sharing many more details with you throughout the process.
Thank you for being a fan of Six Flags Great Adventure, and we look forward to seeing you in the park soon."

So a delay In the new coaster by a year, and cancelling Holiday in the Park.
Magic Mountain fans are going to get a similar announcement regarding their “2026” coaster I would imagine.
Those Synergies are piling up!!!
Winterfest is my favorite time of year to go to those parks. It’s already been canceled at Kings Dominion. If they eliminated at Kings Island and Carowinds , I am absolutely done buying season passes from this operation. Even at the current rock, bottom price
Not to over speculate....although that's what I'm about to do.... Does this have the potential to be a class-action lawsuit?
When I bought the pass it included Holiday in the Parks.
I personally loved how that event extended my riding season and I thought the attendees were the best-behaved of the year...and the vibes were perfect.

Just wait until Cedar Point passholders are told Halloweekends will be an up-charge.
Promoter of fog.

From the Six Flags Great Adventure website:

Winterfest is my favorite time of year to go to those parks.
Why?
I don't particularly want to be in an amusement park in late November or December that is north of, say, Seviereville, and even that is touch and go.
I know you live in the arctic wasteland known as Michigan, but November and December have typically been mild in the mid-Atlantic. :)
I make annual trips to Dollywood and SDC in November. The earlier the better.
Next year will be the first year I go to a park not in FL or CA in December, when I go to BGW in December, but I will also fully admit that trip would not be happening if I wasn’t also more interested in attending Colonial Williamsburg’s Grand Illumination and tagging on BGW to a weekend trip is just too easy not to do.
To be perfectly honest, unless I’m talking a day trip (3 hour maximum radius) I’m really not interested in going to an amusement park for some Christmas entertainment if that comes at the cost of not being able to also ride their attractions. Much like the Halloween events I’m interested in experiencing these seasonal things as an addition to the main reason I go (the attractions) and outside of CA and FL parks just cannot give that on a consistent basis.
2025 Trips: Universal Orlando, Disneyland Resort, Knotts, Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Canada’s Wonderland, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Sea World Orlando, Discovery Cove, Magic Kingdom
I give you Jackson, NJ weather in December:

Thanks, but no thanks.
I have been to ChristmasTown in BGW multiple years in November and early December. The weather can be anywhere from the low 40's to mid 60's. One year we had 40 degrees one day, 55 the next.
The great thing about BGW during ChristmasTown is the number of rides running during the event. Typically you will get Apollos Chariot, Verbolten, Alpengeist, and possibly Pantheon. Plus most of the flats and the train runs during the event.
We have also gone to Winterfest at KI a couple of times. Mystic Timbers, Racer, and Flight of Fear are usually the headliners, with a few flats and the train thrown in. Plus the seasonal food at both places if pretty good, and there are quite a few shows if you need to get warm.
And Touchdown, if you have never been to Grand Illuminations, be prepared for a crowd like you have never seen before at CW. Grand Illuminations is the most attended event by far. Moreso than July 4th.

They can put all the fine print they want, it won't keep people from filing lawsuits. Six Flags has been sued in the past for advertising new rides that never opened on time, even with the fine print. If anyone has a case to file a class action lawsuit it's probably Six Flags Great Adventure passholders who purchased passes last August-October. Since then they have demolished a good chunk of the park that was advertised when they bought their passes and now they have done away with 2 months of the season that were advertised. You could probably even make the case that Great Adventure intentionally deceived consumers by not publicly announcing Kingda Ka was being removed. They were using images of it to advertise for 2025 passes on Social Media, and the park was denying that it was being removed, even though park staff was telling youtubers the truth.
People still sue the MLB and NHL teams for getting hit in the head with a ball/puck, even though the back of the ticket says they can't. Also I'm pretty sure most parks have fine print that says you can't sue the parks for injury/death on a ride and yet that still happens.
