Greased Lightnin' in Nor Cal a little longer... Th

Ok Folks.. Well PGA did sell Greased. But it seems as if the ride was sold within a week of the removal. The ride was recently found in SFMW's upper parking lot. Make sure you check the photos out at http://home.surewest.net/acraig/SFMWGREASED.html

Wow. That is incredible, yet very cool. I agree that it most likely won't stay at SFMW for long- they have their Schwarzkopf now!

Maybe they would give it to Enchanted Village up in Washington.

Who knows. But at least it means that it shouldn't be too long before it shows up at another park, hopefully here in the states!

I gurantee you they are real.. They were taken last week when all those Zonga photos where taken. The park just asked that they not be released until the ride leaved SFMW so they didn't enthusiasts crawling all over trying to take photos.

Wow, this is very surprising. At the same time, also confusing. If the ride cost an insane about of money to operate and maintain, why would another park buy such a burden? I could understand spending the money and maintaining it, but buying it is a different situation. This is good news. I'm eager to see where it ends up.

Maybe they will just use it for parts on SFKK's "new" shuttle loop. Sad to see this one go if that is the case. I really wish they *had* installed it at sfmw.

I was thinking the same thing GoliathKills.

It makes sense because its obviously not out of the norm for two different corporations to sell rides for parts.

Sky Whirl? Sky Whirl was not sold to another park for parts. Neither one of the two US ones were. Am I missing your point or something?

Do you think SF would buy the whole ride just for parts? Track and all?

Well, not so much the whole ride, but I thought SF purchased parts from the PGA Skywhirl.

If you read the text on that link it seems that Anton's son was just the middle man in the ride's sale from paramount to SF,so it looks like SF has got themselves another used coaster to ship off to one of their parks the only question now is where will it go?

In a way my predictions are SFMM,SFEG or perhaps even SFNO or SFOG,SFMM can use it to up their count against CP,SFEG as mentioned earlier could replace Sidewinder with it,SFNO can up their count as SF tends to do whenever they flag a park & SFOG can add it to replace viper upon losing it last year to S:UF.

So what does everyone believe will be the fate of this coaster?

I say it should go to SFKK...
