"Goliath" for S.F.O.Gerogia?

Wow. I can't believe they are using Goliath for the third time. I know the GP generally doesn't care about these things, but is there really no talent at SFI when it comes to theming and naming a ride?

At least this Goliath will be the first B&M with the moniker.

Uhm it dosnt matter about the name to me, its all about the ride. And I thaught Goliath was pretty well themed. SFI can theme well when they want to. All the Batman closes are themed well. If they want to they will.

No, no announcement just yet, but the ACE Southeast website has a blurb posted about it....

I actually kind of like "Starship" for a name. It would be original and fit into the USA section.

I kinda like the SFMM Goliath sign. If SFoG can do something like that that would span the entire front of that area that is there, it would look pretty damn cool.

Also is there any proof that this coaster will be B&M beside what people believe the makers are telling them. I do too but what if this coaster is like the Intamin Goliath, then I don't believe it fits the colors. That's what I'm saying, I liked Goliath's themeing very much.

Actually, we have. And I'm not complaining just to be complaining. I couldn't care less about what the name is, I just think it would be nice if it was original and had some relevance to the established themes.

I'm sure Goliath will be a great coaster. ;)

If you knew anything about the park you would understand why it isn't Intamin.

This has to be the most tired thread ever, and it has just started. It's just a name. At least when you hear Goliath you go "Oh, it must be a tall coaster," unlike some of those other park chains–Cedar Fair and Paramount–that recycle names and you're not sure what it is. Is Dominator a floorless coaster or a drop/launch tower? Is Top Gun an a) inverted coaster, b) suspended coaster, or c) SLC? Is Tomb Raider a a) Giant Top Spin b) Suspended Top Spin or c) Zamperla Flying coaster? Is Thunderhawk a) an old woodie b) an SLC or c) a Top Spin? Well since this layout is going around so freely can the rest of us that haven't seen it see it? Or do we have to wait until Sept.1 while you people that have supposedly saw the layout brag about you've already saw it.

Oh god another this SF park want work with Intamin because of this or that reason, I thought that was up to SFI not the indiviual parks. Anyways I don't know much about SFOG so whats suppose to be the reason SFOG is anti-Intamin.

^Photos of the blueprints were leaked. There are still a few places out there where you can find them if you look, but just don't expect to find them on MY site (at least for now)
