Goliath at SFH: First drop is up

For some reason a high speed turn into the breaks looks really intese to me. I will bet anything this is a deceptive coaster...people who say size matters will probably have to ride this. :)

ONCE THERE WAS A SMALL PARK, BUILT OUT TO A THEME PARK... LATER ON THEY NOTICED THAT THERE'S MORE THAN EARTH! HEAVEN
Thank Six Flags Holland for GOLIATH!!!

That overbanked hill is in one word...........perfection! Great, now I'm drooling.

Did I mention, that I like coasters...

I also have to say who cares how big the ride is in stature? I think steel incorporating twister elements like those insane flip hills will *want* to be smaller so they can take the elements without causing nasty whiplash or requiring trims.

From what I've seen of the layout of both Goliath and Expedition Ge-Force the so-called "Mini" Hypers of Europe can pack just as much of a punch (if not more so) than the super sized Giovanola and Intamin designs that we've been getting stateside.

I guess I can compare it to Arrow Loopers vs. Schwarzkopf ones in the 80's....Arrow looked huge and impressive but the compact and G laden Anton designs beat them hands down every time. I have the feeling that these smaller Intamins going in overseas will be much the same story...they don't *look* quite as impressive but more than make up for it in actual *ride experience*.
