We are planning a trip to Texas to ride the coasters at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We noticed that the Iron Rattler hasn't even made the Top 100 list and wonder why. Does anyone have any thoughts on the coasters at these 2 parks? Do and Don'ts
I think that's odd too that it didn't make the top 100. I've never ridden it but it's near the top of my to do list. Looks amazing!
Probably not enough riders or not enough with much of a track record. New Texas Giant has been open for nearly 2 years and just cracked the list a few weeks ago.
Two possibilities:
1) The minimum number of riders for it to show up in the Top 100 haven't added it to their track record and rated it (most likely*)
2) Enough riders have added it and rated it, but it isn't rated highly enough among those riders to crack the Top 100 (less likely)
*New Texas Giant entered the Top 100 just last month, and it opened 3 years ago. Iron Rattler opened last year, so it will probably be a little while before we see in the Top 100.
Also, I'm not sure what the minimum number of riders is. Jeff?
The minimum number of riders is 50% of the experienced riders (who also happen to be the only ones whose ratings count).
An experienced rider is defined as top 50% of the users of the site.
It does usually take a year or two or three for something not at CP (maybe Banshee will be faster also) to even be eligible.

Definitely not enough riders to rate it.
Personally, it's one of my very favorite steel rides...needing more RMC badly.
As for SFoT, don't miss Shockwave. I'm not a super huge fan, but a lot of people on this site swear by that ride. The air in the back is ridiculous.

Shockwave was a wonderful surprise. One of my favorites at Six Flags Over Texas.
