They took my film after I snapped a few pics of Big Dipper from the monorail. Admittedly, the entrance sign said it was prohibited, but I missed it in a rush to catch the monorail before it took off.
The sweet irony is that my roll of film ran out while taking the pics. The roll they took had 3 pics of S:UE on it :)
EDIT - more details on both the CP and SFWOA film incidents in the thread I linked to above

...but if you want a cash cow & sell souvineer maps, are you more likely to buy a map that just does the job, or that's a little more fun to look at with a lot more details?
...the thing I just don't like about this map is how all the buildings are just so generic. Although the actual park map has them labeled... you can't tell off-hand from this map what's an eatery, what's the bathroom, what's a sit-down restaurant, what are games, where the arcade is, and what's just there for theming.
Not only is the floating boardwalk moved, but the South Side Boating Dock is moved also. It use to dock right by the Mandarin Buffet (GREAT now the park is loosing their BEST place to eat!!) The dock now is moved over to by the stadium.
Enterprise doesn't appear anywhere (not really new).
They kept the South gate (wasn't expecting that).
The Big Net Climb...really doesn't look BIG on the map...and it's probably the biggest thing over on that side (next to the stadium of course).
The former Looney Tunes Boomtown looks VERY stripped. It's tough to say what this area will look like. The HUGE larger than life play set, and BIG BAll factory don't really show up as being down there (but oddly enough a stage is down there?)
Thunderhawk looks bigger than Dominator. Not to mention that I think Thunderhawk should have been drawn to make it look like it's down off the midway (which enhances it's atmosphere IMO. Instead they drew it right on the midway.
Mr. Hydes looks like Demon Drop.
Time warp has both sides moving :)
There are only 3 flags leading into the park ;)
Either way, I think the map is a typical CF map...it'll work.
As for the picture taking I had no problem with a digital camera on Skycraper or the Monorail last year...and that was after talking to quite a few employees all year long. I was just told no flash.

The angle is off by what, about 5 degrees? Take a look...

Also what throws me off is the angle they're showing the park at.
Six Flags Ohio (2000)
Geauga Lake (2004)
I haven't seen more recent SFWoA maps, but just by comparing these two, I prefer the new one. It may be more stylized, but it's a bit cleaner-looking. And it's just drawn better (from an artistic standpoint) in my opinion. Really, though, they're both pretty nice maps.
The simpler the map is, the better, overall. Well, except in this case. :)

All in all, it looks like about 25% of the old SW side will be open, which is a whole lot more than I expcected.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Thank you. I've always wondered how on earth to pronounce that name. I'm from Massachusetts by the way, and I've never been to the park.
