Giovanola, B&M obsessive? or just like their techniques?

I remember when "Giovanola" the company went out of business a few years back, but am I wrong in recalling that the Giovanola that went out of business was in fact a different company all together? Also, I was under the impression that they fabricated B&M Steel over in Europe still, so I believe I may be correct in saying that the company is still alive and well. *** Edited 5/16/2005 1:11:35 AM UTC by Krypton***
Giovanola and its subsidiary G-Tec went out of business in April 2003. The problems started in 2001 when the company had gathered a massive amount of debts.

The companies CEO admitted having made mistakes in calculating the costs and prices of their products due to heavy competition in the amusement sector.

The company had debts of more than 10 million SFR. They had a history of over a hundred years andwere a large source of work for the region.

Before their main interest became amusemnt park rides, Giovanola used to build bridges, heavy machinery and even the legendary submarines for Auguste and Jacques Piccard!
