Giga Coaster Problem...

Has anybody else had problems with the Giga Coaster? After I build one (with blocking system), and set it to test, an "Error Trapper" message pops up, and I'm thrown out of the game. Is this a Windows XP OS problem? Other than the mentioned problem, the game has been running nice and smooth for me...
I've had LOTS of problems with Gigas... they make the game crash quite a bit for me too (I'm running Windows ME). So until they come out with a patch, I guess I will have to stick with the other coasters for now.

Thats the only problem I have had with the game so far, I hope they can get a patch out for it quick because I like building the giga coasters.

I just had another weird problem happen to me with the Giga Coaster, awhile ago I built the Goliath Giga Coaster in my park and I was checking to see why its line was so full. After waiting awhile I was wondering why the coaster wasn't going, the cable lift was stopped at the top of the lift.

The ride didn't say it was broken down, so more and more people kept getting in line and the ride wasn't going. I had to double click the close feature to get it running again. Odd thing, has this happened to anyone else?

Just remember save your game a lot. Especially before and after construction. This will help make those very annoying error trapers not hurt so much.

Be advised that I have gotten the error trapper when building sit down hypers (the giovanola and B&M clamshell type). Not nearly as much as with the gigas, but more than enough to frustrate the hell out of me.

Everytime I try to make a giga coaster in the coaster editor my computer freezes.

It sucks

Mine works fine. And I am in windows98.

I've gotten an error trapper on Gravity Gardens. I've gotten it twice using the sitdown B&M, so it just wasn't a fluke. I did have a giga built across, but I don't think that it as anything else to do with it. The first time with the B&M, it tested just fine, but the second time, it didn't start at all. I check all the blocks and it was cleat, then it errored.

That's because the next block is full, the train on the top of the lift will keep going when the second train is fully in the station.

Just found another problem. I built an Intamin Giga and the block brake didn't work. I don't know if it approached it at too high of a speed but it had plenty of room to stop but it ran into the train in the station and then about 3 secs. later it exploded. That sucked because I had a good coaster. Oh well, just another giga bug. But one good feature I found (not sure if its exclusive to the Giga) is that if you close a ride with people on it it will cycle empty trains through the station until everybody's out. Pretty sweet.

I have problems when I build wooden racing coaster. I was almost done with one that was awesome in the coaster editor, and I got an error traper.

That is a block violation basically, since it considers the lift to be a block. What it does is, when it gets to the top and stop, it means the other train (ahead) has not cleared the next block section. As soon as it clears, the train will begin to proceed.

Block brakes really mess you up, I had a huge B&M floorless running 4 trains on blocks, and one of the blocks wouldn't hold the train until the other one cleared the area, causing them to bump very hard. Luckily with my smarts, I got the station times to let it not crash.

...or, you could just add trims before the block to slow it down enough to stop.

I got kicked out of my game just a second ago while building. I was all done with an excellent woodie and a very cool giga, which i was finishing and the "Error Trapper" popped up. The worst part is I didn't save!!!

I discovered that wooden coasters will allow blocking violations as well if they are reach the block breaks at too fast of a speed. The solution to that is to place trim brakes before all block breaks. I make that a habit now that I had one crash.

No the next block wasn't full, the second train was fully in the station when this happened, and it was loaded and waiting for the cable lift. I know about blocks and this had nothing to do with it, just an error in the game.

Mine works great and I'm also on Windows98.

Mine works great and i am running XP. I noticed that the block also exploded for me on gigas but i had trims previous to the block. My coaster i am talking about is known as THE FORCE in the download page. Its a great coaster.
