Ghostrider

Well, Ghostrider was not working today (2/22/05). They shut down the ride after three runs. I got on Silver Bullet for 5 rides. I only had 40 minutes to spend in the park, but I was able to renew the season pass and got 5 rides on Silver Bullet. Wow. A great Invert.

Woodyman, I'm glad you like it. Now, if I can get a few laps in next weekend, it's all golden. :)

Wish I could say the same about Silver Bullet. I guess I have been to spoiled with the intenseness of the Batman's that this inverted just casually glided through the course.

Oh well, it was still fun in its own way.

I don't know any B&M inverted the size of Silver Bullet that is as intense as Batman. People need to stop comparing the two rides and judge each on its on merits ;)
BTW, I LOVE inverts. Maybe, I will change my call sign.

Silver Bullet is extremely smooth and has some air time beyond other inverts I have been on. I have been on three separate Batmans, Raptor, Montu, Volcano, and others like V2 and Face/Off. I also try to ride on the back seat and the front. Silver Bullet was extremely smooth probably due to the fact that this is new. No question Batmans and Raptor are quite a bit more intense than Montu or Silver Bullet. However, the airtime I experienced was much beyond any other inverts (except V2 when they stop you for a minute). If the weather permits, I will ride this one again today.

I hope Ghostrider is working today!

Wasn't comparing them Moosh. It's probably the same way people prefer Intamin hypers over the B&M's due to being more intense.

I don't know, like I said, I liked the ride, but was probably expecting a little more. Damn that thing is quiet. You can't hear the train navigating the course at all. Did they fill the supports with sand because of neighbors complaining about possible noise?

I would imagine so, Chi....the same reason they put the shed over (the wrong part of) the drop on Ghostrider. ;)

Main difference is the sand-filled supports actually DO quiet the ride, whereas the roof over Ghostie ends prior to the bottom of the drop (the loudest part)...

Ghostie's shed was a panacea...it doesn't actually do anything to quiet the noise but neighbors are satisfied.

The only B&M without "bark" I've ridden is Kraken, and the opinions I have about Kraken are identical to the majority of opinions out there about Storm Rider.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

That worked nicely, thank you.

Wednesday, The Weather Channel said a 90% chance of t-storms. We were on a tight schedule so we said screw it, we're going no matter what. Not one drop all day, and not even a one-train wait all day, because the forecast scared everyone off. That chicken's pretty good, too!
