Funny how I'd rather have one of these than actual furniture.

we actually used it as sort of an entertainment center for a long time w/the TV and stereo on top of a piece of plywood that was sitting over the top of the wacky box. if done right, it would actually work out quite well in such a capacity. -Jen

Ha! I like how you said that Vertigo, Togo must have hired the same hooker for the executives at NY:NY!
Realistically though, Togo must have had some really great sales guys. The novelty of Windjammer for Knott's was the world's first and only looping racing coaster, which Knott's did promote it as. But KBF(prior to CF)wasn't too smart when it came to decisions about new coasters anyway. I think it was also a travesty that an industry icon like the Roaring 20's Corkscrew(the world's first successful looping roller coaster) was removed for a Boomerang, which can be found at what, 40 other parks!
Well, Knotts didn't know how Windjammer was going to run when they bought it.
They didn't know that it would be so rough or that the thing was nearly tearing itself apart.
What they saw was a coaster that was visually really cool, and had great capacity and would be a nice centerpiece to their new Boardwalk area.
How wrong they were! But the point is they never could have guessed the end result.
