I've been very frusterated lately with the General Buzz forum. It seems to me that there are a large number of "good" topics that are being sent further down the list. Maybe it's because my Idea of a good topic is different than everyone else's, but these "VS.",Race-car driver, -est topics, are just drowning out some better topics that just get scooted down the list.

The function of the forums is like that of a timeline. If a thread ceases any response, it moves further down the list. If you find a thread on page 10 and you decide to post a reply, it will then move to the top of page 1.
The threads "best of..." "favorite..." "my park is better than yours..." do not stay around very long. As for the Dale Earnhardt thread, there are many buzzer's who are fans of NASCAR, who like me, are shocked and saddened by the news of his death. I find it acceptable to have this thread continue for a little while.

And for the fact Dale Earnhardt has a roller coaster named after him.

Just like Neil said, the death of Dale Earnhardt is something that has shocked the community. I myself am not a NASCAR fan but I know what this legends death has meant to the world. Occasionaly we will let certain topics that are off-topic slide because they have significant meaning. If your topic has been bumped down then refresh it a little with another thread to bring it back up. Just like everyday life, there are exceptions to the rule.
