Geauga Lake 2005: Midnight, Tonight!

Since when are they announcing the ride at midnight?

It was on a Cleveland news station, hope they are right!

There not making the announcement at midnight. 12:00(midnight) is still considered the 9th. The 10th begins at 12:01. I'll be up. Just to let you know, this post is going to be deleted before or shortly after the announcement because Jeff will probaly post the news in the news section of the site and that is where your sopossed to post "reactions" to news.

What's the name of that station?

I believe it said the 10th at Midnight... which is still a day away...

Here are my predictions for this announcement :

• Repaint Dominator
• Repaint Steel Venom
• Repaint and/or Move Head Spin
• Move Pepsi Plunge
• Repaint Double Loop
• Retheme JukeBox Cafe
• X-Flight 2/3 Train Operation
• New trains for Villian/RWB
• Cheaper Prices for 2005(non-SP)
• New policy on bringing items "on-deck" of rides
• Wildlife Additions/Changes(I can go on and on with improvements, but I'll just leave it basic)
• Walkway reopen
• Additions/Movement of older flats

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Actually 12 (midnight) is the start of every new day. Hence why we celebrate New Years at midnight and not 12:01 am and also why time changes from 11:59 pm to 12:00 AM to 12:01 am and not 11:59 pm to 12:00 PM to 12:01 am.

Hence, Rctycoon2k, midnight on the 10th would be 12:00 am on the 10th which is about 6 hours away.

Beyond that, the park will probably not make the announcement until mid-day Wednesday, however, the press release could easily be out shortly after midnight as was the case with Kingda Ka earlier this year. *** Edited 11/9/2004 11:09:34 PM UTC by Coaster Lover***

Sorry, that is incorrect. The day starts at Midnight (also known as 0000 hours).

Wow that's weird my phones messed up then cause it always reads 12:00 as the same day. I'm going to write a letter to Samsung about this.

Well check the website in 5 hours and 9 minutes and you will see the update "you've been waiting for." At least I think so

TV stations seem to be hinting at the water park being moved also right now.

I just hope a MASSIVE park paint job is in the plans ;)

I talked to said news stations earlier today. I don't know where they got their info, but they know a lot more than I expected.

razore: Most of the things you're guessing aren't even things a park would announce. "New in 2005! A new paint job on Dominator!" Doesn't exactly sell season passes.

You did get one, very critical change right though...

Does it occur to everyone that maybe there was a typo and it was supposed to be Noon instead of Midnight?

I just wanted to bring this possibility up just in case nothing happens at Midnight. Otherwise, there might have been some fellow enthusiasts hanging from a rope some where....

Well I hope it's Midnight because I have class at 12:30 tomorrow and have to leave my house by 11:45 to get there on time. If that's the case then I won't find out til like 5 :(.

Jeff: Is the one thing referring to something already in the park or not?

If it's what I think it is...and I would be VERY SHOCKED it if wasn't...then, I think it's a brilliant addition, and one that will no doubt bring shock to many people. That said, I think it's the best direction for the park, and am looking forward to the reation.
