Geauga / Superman

Hey Rooboy, I am from Sydney and I will be heading for Cedar Point on 28/8, I went there last year for the first time and I'm back this year courtesy of frequent flyers.

I'd say about three days max should do it for Cedar Point, and definitely do the evening cruise around Sandusky bay from the Cedar Point Marina - you will get some unreal shots of Cedar Point from the bay.

As far as Geauga Lake goes, I considered going there but I decided to go over to New York instead, and then day trip to Six Flags New England, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Hersheypark. I wanted to do Paramount Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg as well but I won't have time.

I am doing a tour (New York to Miami) after that which will take in Orlando, and then back to LA for Knott's, Magic Mountain etc.

Hope you have a great trip.

Speaking of Buffalo, don't miss-

Ted's Hot Dogs

Anderson's Custard/ Roast Beef

Duff's Buffalo Wings

You could also swing over to the Rochester area and go to Seabreeze and hit up Abbot's Custard!

If you decide to not do any of that then I would highly suggest you take a day off of CP and go to Michigan's Adventure, Shivering timbers is more worth it than Superman!

Besides, justcuzisaidso, you're quite rude to people for no reason, and most of your posts are non-sense.

Yeah, dude. You're more rude than I am, even.

By the way, the folks who met me at Beastbuzz will realize that I'm so not rude in real life... right Bob? ;)

hey

just read thru the posts,

thanks guys.... and yes i spelt particularly wrong,LOL

re my 4 days at Cedar Point, 1998 i spent 3 days there, and had a blast and wanted to stay longer. The opportunity to visit doesn't come too often so i have assumed we will want 4 days there, but are completely flexible. if 3 days is enough we will move on.We are already leaning to just a single day at Geauga Lake by the responses so far.

oh and 'downunder', unfortunately we leave the states on 28/8. My itin seems a lil similiar to yours, in order we have planned :- IOA,USF,BGT,SFMM,DL,DCA,KBF,CP,GL,PKI,KW and possibly SFDL then finish off with Vegas.(I have been to SFGA,PKD & BGW previously & loved all 3).

I didn't mention the other parks earlier as they are all definite visits, whereas darien lake is currently "a possiblility".

7 days to go :)

Look forward to the trip report rooboy, hopefully dragster will be up by the time you get to Cedar Point. Ozcoaster.net is keen to get pictures of overseas parks taken by Aussies, my Cedar Point photos are on there at the moment.

You never know - when you get back on the 28th, if you bump into a guy on the way up to departures at Mascot with a blue and red backpack wearing an Aussie rugby league jumper (the green one with the yellow stipes they only wore once last year) - that's me.

If you go to Darien Lake, you can stop at Waldameer and jet up to Martin's Fantasy Island if you so desire. Superman alone isn't worth it, I don't think. My frustration with that park the two or three times I've been there is ride closures.

Yea I know about ride closures....

Like 4/5 times i go not all the coasters are open, whether it be accidents, or the fact its frightfest, or because of a breakdown...

My only suggestion is GL because first of all, customer service has definatly improved, lines are short, not to busy, you can have plenty of time and it would be cool to come back! GL is my home park, and since Cedar Fair Purchased it, they have everyone, well most, hyped up! :)
Thanks guys for all your replies

We have decided to not "plan" on SFDL but will be taking directions just in case. Will let you all know how our trip went on return.

Happy holidays everyone

3 days to go!
