really cool there seem to be lots of gay coaster enthusiasts out there...

I wonder if there is an overproportionate number.

Maybe the the unknown link between coaster riding and homosexuality is the the tickling, the one thing I hate is that word, of the hormones during a coaster ride

Missouri isn't that bad. It's at PKI where you can really see the mullets. I think it has to do with it being so close to Kentucky...;)

I agree there should be a lesbian day.

It's like at CoasterBuzzCon this year.I was getting off Raging Bull,and had some chick almost rip my head off.And all I did was mention that she left her partner at the station.:(

That reminds me of a story....

Last year after PPP we went to SFGADV, anyway we met up with some people at the park one of them being Dave Hamburger. Anyone who knows Dave, well they know Dave.....

We were riding Nitro late in the evening and we hit the Brake run and are chatting, when I look over to my right to see the two chicks next to me as Homestarrunner would say "totally making out" These were not your gross lesbian variety either, these were the hot young lesbian variety.

So there I sit, conservative country hick from Michigan, sitting between Dave Hamburger and two lesbians making out, what an mind opening experience that was.

After all, I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

I attended a Bear Pride event in Chicago back in 97 and 98 (held every year for those interested) and each year a bus load of hairy burly men set off for Six Flags for a day in the park. We didn't request a "special day" nor did we announce to the park that we were coming, yet we hit the park and enjoyed ourselves as a group. Mind you the bear scene is a bit different since most of the guys look like lumberjacks so it's not like we were noticable, hell I remember standing in line for Batman with a group of about 30 of us and a little kid noticed all of the bear shirts and asked how he could join the club! LOL!. Of course none of us picked up the Free Turkey baster for recruiting that one! :) But we all enjoyed the day.

That being said; I think that parks that recognize gay days or any other ethnic group for that matter is ok in my book. And for those that are against this let me remind you that these same parks have enthusiasts days where rides are shut down to the public for those that purchased tickets for the con package. Is this not the same thing?

As far as "lesbian day", well, if you weren't at SFStL the day after SRM, I can only tell you there IS such a day....sure, it was a "pride day", but the females were the ones riding the *big* coasters...don't know where the menfolk were hiding...
