Nah. Windjammer never acheived DF status, I can't see Viper making it, either. Personally, I believe that people's current perception of Drachen Fire as having been a decent coaster is because there are some who actually loved it. Hell, it was my #1 for a few years, believe it or not. It was a monster steelie with quite a few one-of-a-kind elements. And while Viper is certainly among the "unique", I'd be surprised if anyone actually raved about it after taking a lap.

^ It's already started.Give Viper 3 years and it will achieve DrachenFire status. :)
Count me as one of the ones who did like it, though. I'm not gonna miss it terribly, but not a single thing about it ever bothered me.

They will almost certainly go with a new name to avoid confusion in marketing.
I wont miss it though. THey definately are using the station again because the station and the cue are still standing.
Because it's still standing and they haven't gotten around to tearing it down yet... that means it's definitely being used for the new one? Ok. Sure.
the fact that they carefully took the track out of the station and bulldozed the rest of the rde down tells you it will be used for something. IF you have seen it you would know.
Why take the rest of the rde down and keep the station for last. Why not bull doze it down like the rest of the ride.
Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
For those of you regretting never having ridden Viper, just go to Vegas and ride Manhattan Express. The twist-n-dive is a unique element, and LOADS of fun. The shame is that *all the rest* of those two Togos consists of virtually unridable headbanging... :(

I saw this sign.....mmmmm, circa 2002. MIGHT even have a pic of it somewhere, I was just a budding geeky shutterbug at the time...;)
RCC...I heard reliable sources indicate that ME had gotten somewhat better following the offseason rehab last winter...friends that rode during the Solace trip still looked pretty beaten when they got off the ride (of course, that could've been from the *abusive* pricing, LOL)...;)
bill, liked Viper when I first rode about 10 years' ago, but I was WAY smaller then...last time I felt like I got a sharp KICK to the side of the throat during one of those blasted UNBANKED turns...but my buddy Mikey got his credit lap, so all was good...LOL! ;)
