A new water park is planned for Destiny USA, a new shopping mall intended to be the largest in the US. Among its features, the developer plans to have the longest indoor "lazy river" in the world.

Ugh, Sawgrass Mills....my sister lives *really closeby* and while the weather in South Florida is definitely a draw, the unbelievable amount of peeps down there is OUT of control.
What 'Playa is saying about *anchors* is absolutely "spot on". If you can't get a few Sears, Burdines, JCPenney's, etc., you'll never get off the ground. That is, unless you're going *upscale*, then you'll need a different class of anchors....Neiman Marcus, etc. Never find the gator in *that* mall, lol....
Not to mention the empty space from Ames is only half-leased in the existing mall. That's a little less than awe-inspiring.

I, too, am "really closeby" to Sawgrass Mills. It has advantages at times but overall the place if a friggin zoo and I read recently they are looking to expand and add parking garages. There is already 2.1 million square feet and 22 "anchor stores".
My version of hell? Sawgrass Mills the day after Thanksgiving.
Why? You're practically sitting right on top of a Master Blaster already! Man, some people are so greedy...

Those stores won't even exist by the time the place opens.
